Further to my recent woes with regards all the uploads from my phone, it seems that Vodafone couldn't care less about uploads. Despite my stats apps (both of them!) saying that I've sent more than 200mb of data in the last week, VF reckon my current data usage is 10mb. Go figure. Still going to reset my entire phone on Friday morning, 2.3.4 or not.

Its not out yet for the S2

30.64 month 18 month
phone £19.99
600 minutes
500 texts
unlimited internet
t-mobile

From Mobilephonesdirect I'm guessing? Was scared to use them due to reviews.

Ordered two S2's last week on that deal, two separate orders, had no problems with either.

Direct from t-mobile was a nightmare and ended up cancelling from them.

Perhaps something was lost in translation :D

I mean that I was waiting for 2.3.4 before factory resetting my phone to resolve my issues, but if it's not out by Friday I'll do it anyway. I wait in hope.

Ahh sorry :D

What you running atm? I'm waiting on 2.3.4 in hope it fixes the Android OS bug, though time will tell. Currently on 2.3.3

Hey I am trying to get rid of the yellow triangle after flashing the litening 1.4 rom and not having much luck. I grabbed the CF-Root KF1 kernel and flashed that and then used CWM to flash the zimage but I still have the triangle??

What am I doing wrong?

Tonight, while I was connected to my wireless network and the phone wasn't being used, it apparently connected to 3G and uploaded 60mb of info. That's now 140mb of data over the last five days. My data usage monitors have recognised that it's being uploaded, but not which app or process is using it. I can't image what would want to upload that much info and what it would

I've got the same issue had used 150mb in the first couple of days and 100 mb more since and I've hardly been away from the wifi :/

KE7.

I really suffered from the Android OS bug, but I removed a load of apps using Titanium, turned off syncing and it seems to have resolved the problem somewhat. My phone is currently 53% after taking it off the charger at 8am - that includes a full day connected to either wifi or 3G, about an hour of music, an hour of gaming and a 30 minute phone call. Oh, and about an hour or ebook reading too. That also includes my phone uploading the inexplicable 60mb of data which I'm hoping to stop with my reset!

2days, 12mins, 51s - 2% left :D

Edit: Thats with just under 3hrs of calls, and non stop wifi connection too.

Edit edit: As this is my first Android device Im not sure how backing everything up would work once a new ROM is out etc.

I assume that if new firmware is flashed, once you sign in to the marketplace it will re download all your apps?

What do people do for all their settings, contacts, pictures, videos, etc etc. You using an app, manual transfer from PC, or something else?

As 2.3.4 is prob out soon, I thought I'd ask now :D

My phone also is suffering from TERRIBLE battery, i'm down to like 20% by the time i get home from work after 12 hours of being unplugged. Almost all of the use is android system and wifi sharing.

Titanium backup won't start to allow me to freeze anything, just keeps sitting on waiting for root access.

Also, yesterday, my phone wouldn't charge, kept saying:

"Charging paused: Battery temperature too high or too low"

The only google result i could find on this the guy had to send it back for a new one, what's the best way of removing root and resetting the custom flash counter?

Cheers guys,

Tom.

PS on a side note, my iPhone 4 was unplugged on Monday at 7am and is still on 32%, with a few hours of gaming and spotifying, constant push email on 2 exchange accounts along with ~1 hour of phone calls, this thing is absolutely unbelievable on battery

Weird, mine was on 50% when I went to bed last night and I use the thing as a laptop just about as I run my business through it.
