I've ordered from 3rd parties before. Big advantage is the phones are generally unlocked and untouched.

I have decent Home Insurance (M&S Premier, accidental, away from home etc) which means all our mobiles are covered.

I'm also interested in this, from buymobilephones.net for example as that seems to be where the good deals are.

Incidentally, I've never bought a contract from third party before and never taken out insurance, are the third party vendors easy enough to contact for customer service after sales etc?

Standard protection is across the board for a distance sale. 7 days, Distance Selling Regulations.

This is irrespective of what the supplier may say, domestic law in the UK (via European regulations) provides you with this.

Really worth getting this phone at launch ? IMO galaxy I is ojnly getting good now that XDA lot are finally releasing decent stable ROMS. If XDA lot don't take it up then you could end with standard samsung ROMS

I would agree, got my SGS on the first few days xD. But the S II has much better stock rom, 1 that I wouldn't mind using XD.

Should be able to just put launcher pro on for example and lose the touch wizz Stuff but we won't know for sure until someone has one.

Expansys just increase price from £499.99 to £519.99, can't see any other major players having upped prices *yet*, but if that's the case it's me cancelling expansys.

Phoned phones4u and they are saying they will deliver on 27/4 it seems amazing they will have stock to send for that date.

Is that for a phone on a contract? I'm after an unlocked SGS II with no contract as soon as possible. Have pre-ordered with Expansys but will cancel I can get my hands on one for the 27th.

Apparently phones4u will have stock for 27/4 however it will be based on first come first served... all depends on how their stock levels a like.

I've spoken to Expansys where my pre-order is currently placed and they said they have no idea when they will get stock but believe to be in first week of May.

If this is the case with p4u I know where I'll be on that day depending if my local store has any stock!!!

Considering Phones4u are usually rubbish when it comes to reliability, I wouldn't hang your hopes on the 27th when everyone else is saying Samsung have said it will be after May 1st.

Also, the P4U deals aren't as good.
