All good :)

My Google Play Store issues were fixed from whatever changes Google made after my ticket got escalated it seems:

Noticed there's a new version of ICS Domination out, so I downloaded and installed...
What a noob, it gave me errors after completing "Unfortunately System UI has stopped".
Meh, take it you can't install a new version over the top, or maybe I arsed something else up?

Regardless I just restored and back where I was, phew!
Not going o mess around much more not knowing what I'm doing when I'm half asleep!
 
I had this yesterday and then cacked myself when I got the boot loop.

Managed to restore back in the end. Noticed a new ics just now so ill install that when i get in.
 
I am on the latest CM9 now and quite like it. One thing I don't really get is the way the default Contacts and Messages applications look:

I think it looks ugly (especially the blue bar). I think I actually prefer the way Samsung has implemented it with a black background. The same goes for the way text messages are displayed. Is there an easy way to still use a non-Samsung ROM but to keep the Samsung look for contacts and sms?

A few more gripes about CM9 (and I suppose AOSP) as it is now:

- usually takes me 2 tries to unlock the screen as you have to be quite precise
- battery life doesn't seem very good (no proper testing, just a feeling for now)
- scrolling is still horrible sometimes. In some applications it is smooth like in Gingerbread, in others it is "holding you back", as if there is some kind of resistance
- contacts cannot be synced with Facebook. As far as I can see it is down to FB to update their API, but it's still a bit annoying not to have it as it is an easy way to have pictures of your contacts

The new Domination is only for certain ROMS these ones to be specific: LPQ/S/2/3/4

Deodexed ROMs but if you follow the install notes you can put it on odexed as well.

I put on sensation ROM yesterday & everything seems to be running great, I have to say this is the second best theming on XDA after the domination theme no others look as professional imo.

Anyone heard of issues since upgrading a stock S2 to ICS relating to wifi-hanging or handset powering itself off after a call. Happened a couple of times where I've completed a call and the phones powers itself off. Powering it back on shows 0% battery free and it will not start unless you plug in a power adapter and it magically jumps back to 57% or whatever and powers on.

I've had the wifi-hanging issue a couple of times (stock LP3 with Domination theme). To get wifi responding again, I've had to restart the phone. I don't make enough calls to have experienced your other issue though!
 
Still using sensation on mine, upgraded to 3.2 yesterday and couldn't be happier.

Finally feel happy with the look of this phone :)
