anyone else having issues updating via kies?

mine seems to go into a loop.....

click upgrade
downloads upgrade
prepares for update
usb disconnects then reconnects
box pops up with the "upgrade available" info and i am back to square one...

I updated it over the original firmware

Worked 1st time for me. W7 and latest version of Kies.

Far easier via Odin imo!

Just finished doing it through Kies. Worked fine and has kept all my music etc on there! Just fiddling around with the settings now.

Try right-clicking Kies and run it as administrator, I had the same happen but that seem to solve it for me.

I'm running the latest HydrogenICS with NEAK kernel as of today. modem will remain NELP2 as it's optimised on the 3 network and gives excellent performance.

Why NEAK over Siyah?

Do you know what modem would be best for O2?

I've already used Siyah, now using NEAK and will shortly try latest thoravukk 2.28 for a day.

For o2 probably use the modem that comes with o2's ICS ROM, LPR wasn't it.

Is the scrolling smooth in hydrogenics or not? I liked everything but couldnt live with that..

New ICS pattern lock looks lush.

Using Apex launcher now instead of Go - lovely ICS transitions.

Chrome browser is pretty good too - formats the forum pretty well.

Noticed a restart option too when holding don the power button.

NELP2 has been giving me awful peromance mrk. 1600kbps down and 800kbps upload.

swapped back to the three KF2 modem and back up to 5000/1600

Weird, I've not used the kf2 modem yet but nelp2 has no speed issues here!
