Chainfire doesn't even have an SGS2 yet, he's doing it purely based on the software (which is harder), so that is even more promising on the customisation front :)
 
Yes, as in yesterday but from my own observations over recent weeks, their website is always lagging behind what comes out instore. It was the same for the Desire S, Arc, Experia and now the Galaxy S2 - the guys in store know the dates and they come out accordingly but their website won't show them until a few days/week later. Even their online chat people don't know. In the case of the Galaxy S2, the chap showed me his price list on Wednesday.

Definitely, given he's managed to rework the KDD kernel and test it by remote. Its a cert for full on CF-root when he gets back. Personally I'll wait for the finished kernel specific root. UK ones seem to be KDA so far, haven't seen a lot of feedback on the full KDD build.
 
sod it... envirofone + quidco = rest of my contract paid off for my desire. plastic fantastic here i come ^^

*edit* on second thoughts.... mobiles.co.uk deals seem gash - not paying £100+ for the handset for the same tarrif I'm already on. any better deals out there anyone cares to share ? :D

I've flashed it. Phone is even more responsive and WiFi is now blazing fast. Social Hub FC's though and it's removed some of the default apps which I guess are UK specific.

The only thing putting me off this is the size of the device. Is it bigger than the HD2? Had the HD2 and the size of that annoyed me after a while...

I've come from a relatively small phone to this. While it's wide and tall you have to remember that nearly all of the surface is screen space, nothing is wasted. It's also incredibly thin, which offsets the size.

Its nearly identical to the HD2 in terms of length and width, but a quarter of a centimetre thinner.
 
Yeah i had an text from mobiles.co.uk about my 10th of april pre order. Said in the text the phone is out of stock and to give them a ring. Phoned them and they said they will be having stock on tuesday and will send it out for wednesday delivery. Hope the DHL courier listens to me when i phone them and tell them to leave it with my neighbour as im in work!!
