I have only seen 2 bugs really. Where the location services suck your battery dry and the lock screen bug but I just press the power button to shut the screen off then press the menu button and it works.
The location thing maybe just me not heard many others mention it.

My Wifi reception is absolutely appalling past coupla days.

Minimal reception upstairs, sometimes dropping completely ( used to be half- 3 quarters full).
Next to my router it's 3 quarters full, not full wifi signal.

Other wifi devices are fine. The SGS2 wifi signal has never been perfect, my El cheapo tablet has full signal upstairs, but it's as if I lost half my wifi reception on my phone. In the worst days before, it never dropped wifi, now it drops wifi if I'm holding it in a grip covering the bottom and if it's just laying around it's minimal... Mobile network is still fine, in fact it's quicker now on 3g/H/H+ than on wifi :confused:.

Any chance you can damage the wifi reception with a fall or anything ? It happened after a drunk night and while I can't remember, I often drop my phone when drunk... So that's what I think what happened, I probably dropped it, and since then the wifi signal is rubbish.

Can you ''repair'' the wifi antenna ? I have a 2nd SGS2 donor phone with water damage... Is it likely my wifi antenna is somehow messed up ?

Still running an ICS rom from March - best thing to upgrade to?

I occasionally get messages about System UI not responding, Gallery not responding etc and my internet speed isn't that great, plus my GPS can never lock on.

Just want something easy to install. Also, using Ubuntu as my desktop OS and I don't think Odin works on it. :(

Any ideas? :p
 
New S2?

Just about to buy myself and daughter a new phone she wants the Samsung s3 but being a pensioner the cost is to much! However, Tesco are doing the S2 for £15.50 per month 200min unlimited text and 500mb, on O2 which seems a good deal, we don't over use the phones and we can buy from Orange an S2 for £199 and go pay as you go. (1) We are with Orange at the moment and find the coverage very good, what is the O2 coverage like? (2) which deal to go for buy £199 or the pay monthly? (3) is the S2 worth it seeing it is old technology? Any help would be much appriciated.
 
Its not really old tech tbh. Its still a very very respectable phone. Best phone ive owned since the nokia n95!
