Not even sure how the Samsung warranty works, bought the phone from someone else. It was on a contract with O2.

Press the phone cam ver check button to show if there is a firmware update, if it shows there is just press the phone to cam few write button to update it.

Mine used to be poor but after updating to the latest firmware it's perfect.

Hmm, I type *#349715# and nothing happens.. Running cyanogenmod which I guess doesn't support these codes.

Just flash a Samsung Rom the same way you flashed CM. Your not going to be able to restore your SMS from CM to Touchwiz. their not compatible.

E: uhh.. flashed it with a official ROM and the phone turns on, shows the O2 screen and then just gets stuck on the Samsung 'logo' as it boots..

Guys can someone give me help, I'd appreciate it massively. I've just bought a brand new s3 off gumtree, I tried it last night and although I've set the language to English it looks like it has a German firmware on it because the widgets and keyboard are different :-( is there anyway of me flashing an official uk firmware to the phone?

I go from one problem to another. I'm getting a signal and can ring people but my mobile data isn't working (turned on in settings). Sim is fine.
Edit: Settings needed to be added manually. Now to get on with the day!
