Personally, I recommend Sotmax ROM - it's really fast, RAM friendly and if you combine it with Boeffla kernel with the right settings it's great on battery :)

I've seen screenshots of people that have had 3 days out of their battery!! (not me though cos I live in an abysmal signal area so that causes problems for my battery lol)
 
Done, thanks very much! Will keep with wanamlite, it feels more consistent speed wise compared to stock , and with less samsung apps in the background, there is less screen redraws even with touchwiz launcher.

Wondering if Android 4.2/4.3 will bring out any performance improvements on this device. Would be awesome if so.

From what I understand Wanam is already working on porting the 4.2 ROM from the S4 down to the S3 so should be soon!
 
My S3 keeps freezing and just randomly rebooted but stuck on the SAMSUNG splash screen. Quick google search and it appears its either the SD card ot Facebook App. Anyone else had this?
 
I've tested most of the popular roms for the S3, and found crDroid does the best bloatware removal :)

Are you all up to date on the latest firmware? Rooted?
 
What's the firmware out of interest?

Boot into recovery by powering on holding vol up and home button.

Keep in mind you'll lose all your data if you do a full wipe. Your SD card will be safe.
 
Kies will install the correct firmware depending on where your phone came from (I.e. stock or operator branded).

ItS locking as much as you say then its probably the sudden death bug at work. Any of the new firmwares will fix that for you.
 
Just got my SGS3 in the mail, yay :)
Only comes with one battery and no external charger either, boo :(

I was spoiled with my S3LTE in Korea :p

Going for Wanamlite now, just as a temporary measure before reading about more rom options, might stay with it long term, might not, just need less bloat on the phone!
 
Yeah it should be, it's Vodafones bloated latest one. I would love to Flash a stock rom but it's a works phone and don't think it will go down well if I screw the warranty after moaning about the freezing issues to them.
