For the past few days, my S3 refuses to charge on the mains. It's not the charger as i've tried 2 different ones. However, it will charge from a usb port on my laptop. It can't be the battery either, as i have 2 which i have also tried.
If you look back a few pages you will see what the problem is and how to cure it.
Its a firmware issue, what modem version are you running? Is the firmware branded?
Not much you can do to solve it other than completely down charge the phone so its 100% dead and charge from usb, it should fix it.
I had this problem, if your rooted you can just delete samsungIME.apk from /system/app, i use swiftkey hated it everytime i rebooted it loaded stock keyboard which i hate

Running wanamlite rom with adam kernal at the moment (MB5). It's been ok for over a month, just recently stopped charging on anything but my laptop.
Will have to try and run the battery down over night, as i've just charged it to 100%.
I must say, my OH's phone is doing the same thing. Her phone is running the latest official samsung rom, she won't let me root it![]()

definitely haven't used stweaks, or anything like that.
