The thing i like about 4.2.2 is that when i plug my phone into my PC i can now see my camera gallery thumbnails :)

On the old versions i could never see thumbnails preview.

Quick question for S3 owners, just boxing min up to sell and I like to make sure all the original bits are with it. Did the USB cable that came with the phone have quite flat adapters at each end of the cable with the USB logo on it?

Hey guys, my brother got one these a few weeks ago and there is red light constantly on in the top corner, I guess this is the notification LED.

It's literally on all the time, red colour, even when I shut the phone down and pull the battery, I can out the battery back in and the light immediately comes back on.

Tried removing all apps he's installed, factory reset it and nothing makes this light go out.

In the settings, all the light options under display and un-ticked as well. Disabled all the screen stay stuff as well, just to check those but nothing seems to make this light go out, except a battery pull, and like I said when its popped back in it immediately comes back on.

Any ideas?
 
I'm sure there is an option in the settings menu to change what the light does and what colour it is. Just cannot remember where it is!

As usual I'm slightly late to the party and have just got my hands on an s3, the lte version.

First things first, can somebody point me at a decent case. My old HD2 had the genuine htc case which gave it a hard cover front and back and gave the corners a bit of protection. Most of the cases I see are going for the "small & thin is better" look, which never seems to offer much protection in the hands of a herbert like me.
For example the HD2 case nearly doubles the thickness of the phone, but the phone is nearly 4 years old now and still in good condition so it's a fair trade off in my eyes.

These are all unticked, I found them when poking around in the settings, tried them on and off, rebooting after changing etc, silly light still stays on.

Maybe it's faulty hardware, but I'm convinced its something in the software.

I quite like the Spigen SGP Modello case http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1860838

I'm using the Nillkin Tough Shield at the moment, really like it, but it leaves the top and bottom a bit exposed.
