There have been 2 firmware updates so far 1 just released the other day, So at least they are working through the problems.

Just a question to the people who are finding the ultra camera disappointing. Are you guys purchasing the ultra as a phone first or camera first then camera.?
For myself i purchased it as a phone first then then the camera i am not a serious photographer just take pics now and again of my family ect . But i have to say if i had not of got the ultra on contract i would have never actually spent the upfront money on any phone this expensive.
Coming from a note 9 the screen is far superior the actual phone is a lot faster more fluid, I am finding the bluetooth a lot better on the ultra no drops for my watch or my buds. The signal is rock solid call quality is amazing.i have had two separate issues though once i muted the mic during a phone conversation. and it stuck on mute lol and i had to end the call as i could not get the mic to un mute. and 2 times it has suddenly dropped the call. but it has not done these since.

The battery is defiantly a work in progress i think. but then it was the same for the note 9(for me anyhow) and the battery does seem to depleat faster than my note 9 does atm. but having said that. i am not really that bothered as the included fast charger is amazing. this i grant you is for my usage and situation. but as i found with with my note 9 it was the exact same thing with the battery. once some firmware comes out and address this it will be jsut as good i think although with bluetooth 120hz screen it was bound to be a battery drain. i am certain they will release firmware to improve things. i guess those who paid upfront want the fixes now rather than later i cannot blame them tbh paying that much upfront is a lot of money but for me the phone is perfect.

My Note 9 battery is getting worse. I need to upgrade.

I thought I had decided I wasn't going to buy an S20 but I've also told myself that I am going to try not to buy things made in China.

Had a little google and Samsung arent making phones in China anymore. They are all South Korea or Vietnam.

That might have made my decision for me then.

That might be an option then I suppose. I really wanted an ultra but it just seems like they have a load of problems. Normally I don't dither on this type of stuff

I have changed phones from a note 9 to the s20 ultra the ultra is a lot better phone(for my usage) Some people have either sent them back or are just not happy, i am happy with the choice i made tbh, the only thing i miss is the pen, and i only think i missed it because i no longer have the option to use it lol.

I do use my pen most days I think but I'm sure I could adapt to life without it.

How much better is the camera than the Note 9? I know its had a fair bit of flak but surely it must still be significantly better than a 2 year old phones?

i think it is better but then i am no photographer, i suppose its how much you value the camera, i think its perfect for family pics. and some of the problems i know they are working on it and have already released 2 firmware updates so they are working on it,

Well today I've removed my sim after trying 16 times with my thumb on the FPS and failing. Yes I could have used the pattern but I shouldn't have to.

Stuck my sim in my wifes Note 10+ and honestly it just feels a better phone in every way so I guess the S20 Ultra is getting shifted on and I'll be taking a money hit on the chin and learn an expensive lesson. That is to never jump in early again...fortunately I can afford it but I still regret buying it now.

I'm feeling like this but about my note 9. I have an s20+ and I miss the note 9, and i wish I had waited too. Been thinking about taking a money hit at some point this year, hell ive even thought about taking a hit and getting a oneplus 8 Pro sooner rather than later. No matter how foolish that sounds, this generation of exynos is just pants.

Have any of you guys tried to go to the recovery mode and reset the sytem cache i am asking because i watched some youtubers of the new firmware updates and some people in the comments are saying they felt no improvements until they cleared the system cache and rebooted there phones.it was in fact a fair amount of people saying this

I havent no, but I've done it before and forgot about that option as I've noticed it helps sometimes before. I'm willing give anything a go so I'll try it later after I've finished work

What is so bad about it? Just curious - thanks.

Yes I did exactly that yesterday before I ripped my sim out. I even did a full phone factory reset as well.
Still no perceived improvement to my biggest 2 gripes and thats the fingerprint sensor and camera auto focus hunting. However on battery life I don’t know because I didn’t give it long enough.
