**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S21 Family Thread ****

After the update yesterday something has been draining my battery lost about 20% overnight when I normally drop about 5! I hope I don't need to reset the phone just got it all set up.

Can't see any app on the battery stats page so I'm assuming it's something in the system. If it doesn't sort itself out in a day or two I'll have to download a better battery stats app

You on WiFi or data? Seen someone post on Reddit about overnight drain on data - I think

The screen on the S21 is 1080p, so objectively 1440p is going to be better. Viewing experience on the S21 is blurry by comparison if you have good eyesight. The rest might be subjective but I will say that I'm in the design business and I could tell straight away that the colours were more accurate on the OnePlus. I was able to do a side-by-side comparison with my colour calibrated monitor too to confirm this.

Could purely be down to gamma and adaptive refresh. I do feel like there's a hint of low gamma in there. Some Grey's should be darker in certain brightness situations.

Again, think this is down to the high refresh rate.

We *might* see an update that tweaks this in the future.

WiFi but guess it could have gone down during the night. Was dropping more than normal during the day at work to but that's a bit hit and miss depending on if I'm listening to the radio or its just sat in my pocket. Always on data at work as don't have WiFi but have full bars as I'm about 300m from an antenna
 
Damn! just let my phone sit idle for an hour and lost 4% battery! something in my update yesterday has not gone right it seems. Nothing showing on the battery stats page or on accuBattery that i installed this evening to account for it so must be something in the background these apps cannot see.

Anyone know of a good app to find battery drain? Really dont want to have to reset my phone if i can get away with it

Sounds stupid but have you done a reboot if the phone?

Any app updates?

Yep tried rebooting and also completely turning off the phone in case it makes a difference. The only app update that day was my opera browser so I uninstalled that late last night.

I left it in airplane mode last night and lost 2% over 7 hours so that seems reasonable.

I don't know if that could point to it being anything in particular but I'll use my phone as normal today and see how much I lose tonight when I leave it.

Had email saying my phone failed it's check as "camera lens cover missing" and tried to take £150 off my trade in.

It had a bloody glass screen protector on it lol
I emailed them saying to literally pull it off and phone is perfect.

20 mins later I get the full amount :rolleyes:

Tried dex out last night. It's surprisingly good even when in wireless mode. Seems perfectly capable as a basic computer replacement. I plan on using it with my turbo trainer to show Zwift on my monitor.

Weirdly got my Samsung claim for my Ultra confirmed last night - awaiting the freebies.

Yet - my wife's Samsung s21 claim for her freebies has been declined pending further information - They need a clearer copy of the invoice number/date etc.

Strange as they are both on the same order, same invoice, same scanned pdf copy of the receipt. Mine was accepted, hers was rejected but it's the same file/copy I uploaded....:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Weird. My claims have both been approved almost instantly as if it's automated.
