I would be surprised if the leak that we have seen so far doesn't turn out to be the GS 4 design etc.
As pointed out,
- it has the same pattern look as the teaser poster
- similar design language to the other galaxy phones (remember Samsung want their phones to be distinguishable, if they came out with a completely different designed phone, how are people going to recognise the "galaxy" phone) HTC change their design every single time and by doing this they are shooting themselves in the foot, there was no reason to change from the one S/X design, all they had to do was improve upon it, much like what apple do with their iphones, however, I think you can keep rehashing the design too much and if apple don't change it considerably for the 5s or 6 then people are going to get very bored/fed up with it
- Look at all of Samsung's recent phones/tablets here, all have the exact same design language
- seems like an awful lot of effort to go to, iirc was it not just leaked renders/mock ups of the GS 3, no actual full on photos of the device?
I personally like the improved design quite a bit, got rid of the two things I hated the most about the gs 3:
- brushed finish
- too rounded corners
the home button looks better too.
Just the back that I don't like.
TBH I think I prefer the front design of the GS 4 to the front design of the htc one, the htc one is largely ruined by that awful htc logo in the middle of the 2 buttons at the bottom and the front speakers do look odd, but the functionality/usefulness of that feature outweighs the design/look of them imo.
Of course I still need to see them in the "flesh" though......
Hmm, the display looks dull/dark in those comparisons, although it looks great for detail.
