Have you flashed the latest modem? I had a similar issue and needed to flash a newer modem which fixed the WiFi issue

Echoe v.20 “Another Brick in the Wall- PART 2″ (XXUFNC9 Base) currently being uploaded.. They have started introducing more S5 apps into the ROM.

When you say relatively stable, what were the issues? I'm running the final v1.2 Jamal GPE ROM from XDA and it's 100% stable, never ever freezes or reboots.

No issues on Goldeneye 27 with old bootloader now. Took a bit of messing but seems solid now! I quite like it, nice and fast.

You'd need the new bootloader for that Wanam rom yeah.

You could flash that kernel with your current rom and see if it helps :P as long as you are on KitKat :P

Just flashed that kernel and I'm still leaking battery like water....
Phone been on for 1h40m and I'm at 83%

Ended up doing a dirty reflash of the ROM over the top and everything sorted itself out

Not much really, just got bored!! The battery isnt as good on Wanam so may end up going back
I was using Jamal also http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2544474

I flashed the GoldenEye 2.6 a few days ago, all seams ok but betterbatterystats is telling me battery usage is at 2.8% per hour which is a bit high, used to get 1.5%, also it has randomly rebooted a few times when i have loaded the apps manager and once when i simply clicked on the settings button... however the reboot only takes a few seconds.

Edit: I see GoldenEye V2.8 has been released with a new Adam Kernel, V2.3, so flashed the new Kernel and now battery seams a little better, will see if it fixes the random reboots... so far not had any... yet!

None of the battery apps i find actually give you useful imformation..........

i just want to know what app is taking the power or waking the phone up.

Where in better battery stats does it tell you the useage per hour please mate?

is this why my battery is going so quick?

I was also running battery doctor and kept everything closed although it need keep telling me that chrome and you tube kept running.

I barely used it yesterday with just over a hour screen on and a about the same in talk time and still only got 12 hours use.

Im assuming deep sleep of only 5 hours is not very good?

Just flashed a Touchwiz based rom again as I fancied the features back. Now I notice that I have to manually increase the headphone volume to max again everytime I plug it in. Any fix for this?

Question from a person new to rooting and modding...

Say I have my phone running and setup as I like, stock ROM, and I then load a custom one on... I understand the custom one will be 'blank' like a new phone, but before doing that is there a way to copy my current stock one exactly as everything is to revert to it if I ever decide to do so? Or do you HAVE to revert back to stock ROM that is blank?

Hope that makes sense :)

You do an image backup called a Nandroid - that will save you current rom with apps and data just the way it is now...so you can revert back.

This will be done in the custom recovery...CWM/TWRP
