*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Thread ***

In 2007 I bought the original iPhone.

In 2008 I upgrade to the iPhone 3G.

Release date in 2010 I purchased an iPhone 4.

September 2012 I was fed up.

Time for a change, and this is for me I think :)

It's always been the case as you can read for yourself here: http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader

Bold emphasis added by me to highlight the bit that basically says you're on your own if you unlock the bootloader

It doesn't say that at all, it says if you break the phone because of your unlocked bootloader, tough luck.

If something unrelated goes wrong you are still covered.

I really want one.. I hope it holds up better than my s3 though! s2 took hundreds of drops without any visible damage and a few weeks in my pocket the s3 was covered in scratches and the bezel cracked without me dropping it..

Really grew to dislike my s3 in white, only got it as it was an unwanted upgrade and quite cheap! Black s4 looks nom!

So when can I pre-order one? I've got cases incoming as soon as they're in stock which I've been told is...soon.

I think you'll find that they may not honour the warranty on a device with a unlocked bootloader. My mate found that out when he tried to get his device fixed under warranty and was told his warranty was void due to the unlocked bootloader. That is how I actually found out about this.

Great brilliant, my current Samsung Galaxy S2 will be upgrade to S4 in January 2014 but I do hate the carrier will put rubbish software stuffs on the phone and locked it. I probably getting sim-free phone!

I use the software called NO LED from play store and it brilliant!
