*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Thread ***

Why though?

Snapdragon are good chipsets, if they weren't they wouldn't be used in the majority of smartphones and Samsung wouldn't be going with them either if they didn't feel that they were up to their "standard"

I don't see the problem if the real world performance is the same and battery life isn't "much" different......

Is it just because you want to say that your mobile has an octa core CPU in your mobile? :p

I know it's good but the Exynos Octa is better and I don't see why I should make do with snapdragon 600.

I don't give a crap about Octa core, Quad Cortex A15 and PowerVR SGX544MP3 is just faster, simple as that.

Snapdragon 600 excels in benchmarks (not that they mean much TBH)

The Nexus 10 scores around 2500 and that's only Dual Core Cortex A15, the Quad Core version will be pushing 4000+..

Benchmarks mean nothing :p

I would prefer the Snapdragon over the Exynos anyways. Proper 4G and the source code for the CPU should be available to developers, the Exynos code isn't.

As long as we get decent dev's @ XDA ...Wonder which area's are getting octacore then ?

As long as the snapdragon is most of Europe then we will get some decent dev's :)

Read a few reports we are getting the quad core version, not octa core :(

May get HTC one if true.

you what lol??

no octa.. bobobobo.. ill get a htc one with the SAME cpu that s4 comes with?

im actually happier with snappie 600 for dev reasons..

None of these places have a source listed, so it's all just crap until it comes from Samsung itself!

I'd rather have the Octa because it's better. I will not be happy with the Snapdragon knowing a better version would be out soon and/or in other places. Don't care about roms etc so long as it can be rooted :)

Yeah they do, phone envy isn't funny when you've dropped £500 on phone.

I don't care about 4G.

powervr better than adreno, yes or no?

Yeah it will be faster. But we don't have benchmarks yet.

Depends, do you need more than 16GB internal storage?

I don't see it happening tbh, nothing happened with the previous galaxy phones when it came to the models that had more internal storage.

just get the 16 one and 64gb sd.. :)

I already have the Note 2 16gb with a 64gb card. The problem is that I have to root it in order to have more than gameloft game installed on it.

Ideally I just want the 64gb version so I don't have to root it. It gets annoying rerooting everytime a new update comes out.
