Thanks buddy, I did and they said i'd get an email today to confirm...

I have just phoned them again to confirm and the person said only with contracts to me. I told them the web team said I would be getting one with my order and they said that's false information. I don't know what to believe now

No chance you'll sell it for that. The S6 (£599 at launch) is only just higher than that new.

Have a look at completed sales on eBay. S6 and S6 Edge going for anywhere between £250 and £500 and as you say, that was a cheaper phone at launch.

**EDIT** Also, £465 new on CPW right now.

Find an S6 edge, it's the same experience (just imagine the new layout from the S7).

Voda is deffo doing the VR and it comes with delivery if you pre-order. If you're considering Voda (I work for the international arm, this is not a recommendation blah blah) check if you're entitled to a discount through your work (eg a lot of gov places) and use quidco/tcb if applicable.

I'm tempted to go back to vodafone and get a 12 month contract...20% discount through my work on line rental and should be able to get £50 Quidco cashback on top (worked the last time with the discount applied).

S7 £179 upfront
£47.20p/m (Discount applied) for Ultd Mins/Texts 6GB Data...no VR headset though.
Quidco: £50.00
Total Cost over 12 months: £695.40

I'm still on Three's £15 One Plan until at least 12th March, not had the letter just yet.

Could buy a S7 Edge sim free but then I'll be having to find a decent tariff with the data again.

Or just signup for one with big data at EE or Vodafone right away now. Hmmm

just called samsung and the guy said they not in the free gear vr promotion in uk at the moment but he said they will be having a meeting today to sort out if they can join and then all customers who already pre ordered a s7 / edge from samsung will be offered a free gear vr.
