**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

Hmm cool cheers.

So the Edge works out at £623 from .de, £15+ saved. But if it ever needs to be sent away then it's back to Europe. Although I have phone insurance, so that sorts that out I guess?

I think I will just wait though really now.

You get two years warranty with De, also, they cover the cost of postage. You can also change your mind at anytime and take a refund within two years.

Am going to play the waiting game this time around. The prices dropped pretty fast on the S6 and am sure the same thing will happen again. Will hold on to the S6 for now.

So cancelled my cpw order and went with Samsung UK, as I get £30 cash back.

They are not yet doing the free VR but are doing a poll. If you ask for it, they take your name and number, the idea is they want to see how many people ask for it so they can go back to Samsung and request to be included in the promotion. So if you've ordered from Samsung UK, call and ask about the VR.

Anyone know which cpu the UK variant - S7 will ship with... Exynos 8890 or Snapdragon?

What's the difference or which one is better?

8890 in the UK as stated many times in this thread.

We won't know which is better until some proper indepth reviews come out. It's safe to say, both have ample power. The best will be the one that doesn't throttle to hard under load and has the lowest TDP.

Are people generally buying this sim free then? Trying to decide between Vodafone 25gb for £44 a month or three unlimited, but 12gb tethering, for £56

What's the point of the poll? Surely the question "do you want something worth £80 for free or not" isn't going to elicit much response other than the patently obvious.

Agreed. Saying yes doesn't automatically get you one. Samsung UK are trying to get Samsung to extend the promotion thus they are trying to get an idea of the numbers it seems.

Indeed I feel like I'm missing something here in looking at only contract related phones.

If you are or have brought the phone outright, do people have excellent SIM only deals elsewhere then?

Sim free all the way.
With giffgaff £12 pm at the moment - has everything I could ever need + have the flexibility to cancel or change at will.

I hate the whole implementation of contracted phones , you always lose out.
