Am I missing out on much by setting default image size in the camera to 16:9 (9.1M) - 4032x2268 vs 4:3 (12M) 4032x3024??
16:9 is a more traditional shape image, but not sure on the quality impact? Can't remember what my S6 Edge had
As long as you are using an, 'Upgrade' deal, it works the same as upgrading with the network. In my case, continuing to use my existing SIM, so I just moved it to the new phone.Whats the process if I'm currently with ee and I upgrade via a 3rd party "mobilephonesdirect" to another ee deal, do I port from one sim to the other?
Cropping yourself comes with the added benefit you can crop to 3:2 which is normal photo aspect of you wanted to print and frame anything. The 12M sensor is 4:3 ratio, so if you want to change the ratio to 16:9 the image is just being cropped - quality shouldn't be affected.
I prefer 16:9 as well, but to be honest you may as well leave it at the full 12M and crop it yourself.

If it's a regular deal, not upgrade specific, it will just start a new contract with a new number.
Can't see the colour problems on your pics - I am colourblind though lol... had to get family members to check my device for me haha
Anyway, with regards to battery something there doesn't seem right...
By chance as I just checked mine it is actually on 2h26m screen on time also.. Off charge for 11 hours and I am on 54%
EE directly are appalling, they wanted £550 up front and £40 per month for the 5GB contract I just upgraded to.
Well think about how much an 30GB 4GEE Max is sim only (actually I think they only go up to 20GB on SIMO, which is £25) and throw an S8+ on top and it's probably not far off that monthly equivalent anyway.70 quid a month
This is why I buy my phones outright, then I can enjoy the value of sim only/PAYG. Granted I buy 400 quid phones but they're good enough.
I'm paying 70 quid a month with 9 quid 99 up front, unlimited texts and mins, 30gb data, unlimited music streaming, free unlimited everything in Europe, the free speaker if i sell that should offset the costs, 60 quid after employeer discount. I'm with o2, s8+

Yes it will be via the upgrade section, are mobilephonesdirect a good company to go with, I've never used 3 parties just got direct but ee can't give me anywhere near this offer![]()

Sounds like an upgrade? This is why I've never upgraded.
The S8+ is available for new customers on the same contract for £49 a month, no upfront cost, on 3 via affordable mobiles.
I suppose with the discount it isn't anywhere near as bad however, just like with car insurance I don't tend to feel any loyalty whatsoever to stay with the same company because every year they try screwing you over, it's the same with phone companies imo. Voda 24gb/30gb contracts were recently available for £40-£45 a month for new customers, that's a substantial saving over 2 yrs compared to what you are paying even with your discount!
