My thoughts exactly. My S6 edge+ was awkward enough to hold, this looks like it would be nightmare indeed.

Edge isn't going anywhere, and only seems to get better and more useful with each iteration.

Bixby sounds promising. Integration with common hardware features like the camera and understanding natural language (something which Google hasn't quite perfected yet) could well be the major USP for the Galaxy S8. If it can adjust my Hue lights without me having to lift a finger, then I'll be quite impressed.
I fear the price will be astronomical because of all these things though, higher than the S7 edge fo sure, especially the 256GB model.

Don't mind the Edge screen, hopefully the introduction of "Bixby" doesn't mean the re-introduction of more Samsung bloat.
I found without a cover on my 7 edge I get a lot of accidental page openings etc where the screen detects me touching the very extreme edge while trying to simply hold the bugger. Spigen Neo hybrid has reduced this though.
Wonder if it is all just a publicity thing and they're actually gonna have an event for it just before or after MWC like usual

Either way, normally launching in late Feb they're available early April (was like that with my GS6 Edge). Whatever date they choose to delay it to, I don't think it will be more than a couple of months later than usual at max or they'll get 'left behind' by others

I am wondering if the S8 will in fact use the SD835 globally now? I say this because it has just emerged that Samsung has claimed the first round of 835 stock from Qualcomm, which is why the LG G6 won't be using the SD835. Sucks for LG, but could this mean we finally get a global SoC for Samsung flagships?

The S7 Edge isn't really worth upgrading yet imo
From the leaks and rumours this all looks and sounds very impressive... But we all know how much of a let down these rumours can be. Hopefully there true and Samsung want to bring out an amazing flagship to make up for the note 7. Maybe this is the time to finally upgrade from my note 4.
