Phoned Samsung and he confirmed that everything is peachy with the pre-order, and i can expect it after the 19th. Sounds like the stock is getting hammered and they discontinued the deal.

Problems with the S8:

Touchwiz. It IS still bad. I've got an S7 edge, bought it because reviews said it didn't slow down the phone anymore, but it's noticeably slower than a Nexus 6P I recently picked up.
Edge screen. It makes typing harder, and gripping the phone is noticeably harder too, even though the back is curved.
Tall screen. Usability is hard enough on large phones, but this is crazy. You're going to be shifting the phone up and down like crazy.

The S7 with stock android would be, in my opinion, the perfect phone (or as perfect as you could get without changing specifications).

So just install Google Keyboard and the Google Launcher?
