So with winter back upon us, I am back to my old tricks with FSX.

Currently doing a quick hop across to Venice under BAV colours in the PMDG NGX, with 275nm to go before TOD. (aka twiddling thumbs)

Not been on here for a while. nice to see it's still as friendly and as helpful as ever. :)

Ill be keeping a close eye on this. If it plays ball with my other UK addons (mainly treescapes but I have a few freeware bits and pieces as well) then it will be the perfect missing piece for me!

Also, slight cross post from the P3d thread - Many devs/stores are doing black friday sales, anywhere from 20-70% off. I've since found this post on Air Daily X keeping track of them all. Would definately reccomend FSdreamteam/Flightbeam if you want some US airports. Between them they have a lot of the big names covered with some fantastic detail!
 
Finally came back to Nvidia and the magic of nvinspector. What settings do you recommend for the best AA quality? I'm guessing something along the lines of 8xs (1.2xSS & 4xAA)?

I suspect that the trees in TreeScapes will be better and more numerous then Rev X trees. So perhaps adjust them in the library and if you get both showing up and it does not look right, you can probably delete the tree files in Rev X. Still, if that is the case, Rev X better be excellent in all the other areas.

Keeping an eye on this one myself.

I might as well fly 3 times, so here's the proposed dates:- :)
December
Monday 2nd - 8pm
Saturday 14th - Daytime
Thursday 19th - 8pm
 
The fly in does sound like fun. VATSIM does seem a bit daunting though, I am perfectly capable in a plane and understand the principles of ATC and navigation but the only real world experience of it was a flight I did in a Cessna 152.

Do they get really upset if your mess up? What is expected of you?

In your flight plan you'd put that you're a new user. Then the pressure is off.

Then we all log onto the voice client Mumble and also onto VATSIM.

Then we send Vuvuzela on his way and we'd copy exactly what he says.. :p

If Aldergrove tower is on, we'd get clearance from them. If not, we won't have to speak to ATC until we get to East Midlands. If East Midlands isn't on-line, then we wouldn't have had to speak to anyone the entire flight.

You'll need to install and use Plan-G to make sure you're not flying in controlled airspace. But then you can do the opposite and speak to controllers if you wanted to fly into controlled airspace.

In a nutshell, no one will be upset with you.

Also, numbers for each flight would be helpful. I only have a free 5-user Mumble account. If there's 20 of us then I'll need to upgrade my account.
 
Haven't been on here for ages! amazing what a wedding can do to your gaming lifestyle! anyways, just got hold of OrbX England and Scotland in the flight sim store sale, so be interesting for me to see how it handles with rex :)

Monday 2nd is good for me, and possibly the 19th as well :D

I have a TS3 server that can take 20 people if needed blue, its on a dedicated linux box so should handle it fine as well.

Main issue I can see immediately is the taxi paths are very square like, any suggestions?
 
Just a suggestion, if you are going to post more then @10 shots, perhaps put some of them into spoiler tags, saves a thread page getting rather long and people's middle mouse wheel wearing out ;).
