The 'Official' Screenshot & Tips thread 4 FSX enthusiasts & flight simmers.

Hello Brian.

I use VFR scenery and Rex without problem.

Most of my screenshots are from that combo.

Brilliant that's what I hoping to hear:) any other suggestions for addon's? I've been off the radar (pun intended) where FSX is concerned so I'm not up with the current crop of goodies

Good morning. I hope you are all recovering well?

Long story short, we were going to move house, then were told it's not going to happen until the new year, so my wife wanted to put our Xmas tree up.

So in the end I flew for an hour last night and then helped her. I flew out of Aldergrove in the default Cessna and made it as far as the Isle of Man. It was quite foggy and I my landing was far from perfect. I did take some pictures, but they're on my home PC.

There was no ATC about around there. But Liverpool and East Mids were online.

I feel a lot better today thanks, I wish I had shares in Andrex though, they made a fortune out of me this past couple of days :0

Looking forward to seeing the pics mate :)

I've been out of touch with flight sims for a while now and have just found out about Prepar3d. Basically FSX reborn, something of which I thought would never happen.

With a hand picked team including members from Ace's Studio developing the sim. Multi-core CPU support, directX 11 and support for some FSX addons.

I'm a little surprised that there isn't much talk of Prepar3d in this thread. Why isn't there more chatter about this?

Prepar3d v2.0 has recently been released and from what I've seen it looks amazing.

What a great setup.

UK2000 are having their annual Xmas sale..

I shouldn't be spending money on this hobby this time of year, but Glasgow and East Mids is < £13 each..

I had a quick flight in the Airbus yesterday from East Midlands to Dublin on Vatsim. East Midlands had Ground, Tower and Radar on and my transition between them was seemless.

For some reason my ILS approach into Dublin was the biggest coq-up in ages. Everytime I engaged the localiser I was being taken well off track. I corrected it and then engaged APP at 2500 feet and still veered completely off-track. My ILS frequency was correct, so I didn't understand why..

On the plus side, I flew in Dusk and the REX textures at sunset were awesome.
