*** The Official Sony Ericsson Satio Thread ***

Cheers for the info on the Invisible Shield, will be ordering one of those. So far i'm quite impressed with the phone, only problem i have had is the odd random reboot, anyone else having these?

Ive noticed mine does that, one other little annoying thing. Using the music player it seems to put a 2 second plause between tracks. other then that i cant really find a lot wrong with the phone:)

Glad to see you happy at last Andy:D. after the farce with the N97 at least your free now lol.
I had a look at one today feels a lot lighter than the N97 and the screen is a bit larger.
seems like they have changed the icons around on the phone but you can see clearly that it is the same Symbian 6 like the N97. nice to see that it holds the 3G signal not like the N97.
seems like a decent phone really the images move quite quickly which is a plus.
Anyway good luck mate with your new handset.
Yup, at last. I am never touching another Nokia after that poor experance. One phone that has caught my eye though is the SE X3 :D

There are no signal problems that i have experanced on the Satio, i pretty much get a solid 3G signal every where now. If any thing its a bit better signal then my old N95.

Dunno, never really noticed. The photos I took looked quite vibrant considering the lens size. Have you had a play with the brightnes and contrast settings?

Nah, this was just the default settings on the shop demo phone. My N95 is also at default, and just seemed "better"

Got mine on Saturday after a looooong time thinking about it. I have always loved Sony Ericssons, but my last 2 (K850i and C905) were awful. Great phones in theory, but constant crashing meant I had to get my C905 replaced 5 times. This is what held me back getting the Satio, I didn't want it to die on me. In the end though, it was either that or wait for the iPhone on Vodafone. I'm always taking photos so the Satio seemed like the right choice and I'd just have to take the risk when it came to bugs.

So far I like it. I have to say I hated it at first, I didn't find it was one of those phones you can just pick up and instantly know how to work everything. I'm still finding some things confusing now. The touchscreen is ok, I'm using the full qwerty to type texts but find it's VERY easy to mis-spell words due to my thumb pressing on the wrong letter and the number of times I think I've hit the space bar but haven't is starting to grate on me. I've tried using the normal phone pad with predictive text, but it seems to be lacking many words in it's dictionary, so it's pointless.

Browsing the net is great, although one small gripe I have is that when viewing Facebook, photos are tiny and I haven't found a way of enlarging them yet other than perhaps zooming in on the screen, which is a pain. On the C905 you can view Facebook pics in full screen. Very small little irritation, but I'm on FB quite a lot :D

The camera is just STUNNING. I can't praise it enough, I've taken some incredible shots with it. It's worth getting the Satio for this alone.

All in all, I like it, but still need to get used to some parts. I'm sure I will though. Just waiting for the day it starts crashing now really...

I would highly recommend downloading the Wisepilot from the SE PlayNow arena. Its pretty good and very quick sat nav.

Andy

Have to say, i'm still enjoying mine and i've had it a whole 3 days, my viewty i was ready for throwing it away after a day...

Looks nice the X3 i have to say, but i'm gunna be all biased and say it's not gunna be as good as my Satio, although Andriod is mean't to be pretty snazzy.

Only time will tell, the major thing with the X3 is the UI - it looks amazing! It has a fast CPU too but the camera is 4Mp lower and prob a few other features the Satio will be better at.
