**The Official Star Wars Battlefront II Thread (PC)**

Im away from UK for medical reasons atm, so can't try it again like for like, but did anyone else think the graphics were considerably worse than BF1 (Battlefront 1)? Not sure how to describe it. Less sharp? More blur? (Not motion blur). Worse than Battlefield 1 too imo (which is think is currently one of the best looking games out there, not saying that much though).

I tried it via Origin Access few days back at 3440x1440p with a 1080Ti and was getting crazy frames-110-130etc iirc.

Just seems odd. Don't get me wrong the graphics arn't bad imo, but I was expecting much more. Gameplay I thought was fun, in a dip in and out fashion. Lootboxes, say no more!

Maybe I'm reminiscing over the Crysis 1 days...

This looked good till i saw the business practices at play. They only reduced the credit cost because 433k downvotes potentially means 433,000 X £50 = £21.65m in lost revenue.

EA: " Oh no! we better catch some of those whales before they escape"

Massive fan of Star Wars, was genuinely excited for the game, but the price isn't right - the decisions they've made with pay 2 win and this whole nonsense with 40 hour+ unlocks you can conveniently pay for was the last straw, really don't care if they reduced the price by 75%, they're still getting money for it which I disagree with. If the game was F2P, sure. An expensive AAA game though, nope. I'll perhaps buy it when it inevitably drops dirt cheap.

No matter how much they reduce Heros costs the damage is done they should have been free to all players once you beat the SP campaign. EA games should come with the planned end of life Origin server date as like all their other games it becomes unplayable once EA retire the Origin server used to launch the game so your just paying them to rent the game whilst they see it makes enough money then as soon as revenues drop some accountant who never played a game in his life insists the servers gets turned off to save a little bit of money & the game is forever unplayable again!

This is why EA needs to collapse their business model is not gamer friendly at all even Ubisoft & Activision are more gamer friendly & that is saying a LOT

And they won't address any of the main issues especially not the loot boxes as they are relying on them to make millions more of profit, at best, they will just put band aids on a huge gaping hole.

Yup exactly, even a few hundred thousand not buying the game would be a pretty big hit especially for such a greedy company like EA

Blimey! Checked reddit this morning and the amount of SWBF 2 hate for this loot box system is crazy! Never seen anything like this, there is bad PR and then there is "bad" PR :D

Also, they may have lowered the cost of the heroes but they went and secretly dropped the credit rewards for completing single player lol...........

Reward for completing the campaign changed from 20,000 credits to 5,000 credits

Unbelievable that they would go and do that, are they trying to **** all of an already incredibly angry mob? :D

Also,

It will take an estimated 4,528 hours of gameplay to unlock everything or a spend of roughly $2100 on microtransactions

EA has removed the refund button from their customer portal. Hoping people will just give up canceling because of the 60+ minute wait time to live chat support.

Disgusting company. Absolutely vile.
