**The Official Star Wars Battlefront II Thread (PC)**

No, i was thinking more of the general button spam, roll around on the floor like an idiot game play that comes with every console game these days and you can't turn that off in the settings. Honestly, i could teach my dog to play the dumbed down trash that gets delivered by AAA devs. Most games you only need to hold down a single button and your character does everything for you. I just can't get enjoyment from that sort of thing.

I'm not denying that games are lovely to look at, but whats the point when everything else is lacking so badly.

You referring to the division? If so, yeah the PVP in that is crap. I loved the PVE side to it though, well at least until rank 30 and then it just becomes a pointless grind for slightly better gear.

Their single player games are far from rolling around though (well except for the likes of AC but even then, the latest one added quite a few moves which you can use so you don't always have to dodge/roll around)

But I would very much like to see a "division" take (without the bullet sponge part though) with the likes of ACO vast open world etc. done for SWBF.

DICE games are just as bad now, just look at bf 1 and SWBF 1/2, no skill involved, dare I say even the division PVP requires more skill....

Big sale on origin at the moment if anyones tempted by it.

Picked up the BF one & titanfall 2 bundle but really considering this.

May be worth a look on the rainforest US, I got BF 1 and titanfall 2 standard version for just over £10 yesterday, I'm only interested in the single player part of the games and both games worked on my origin account OK.

I did notice battlefront 2 was $24 which is about £17.

The infantry modes in this game are terrible, hardly any variation in skins or weapons, they have done something odd with the shooting mechanics as well,
I was reasonably compitent at the previous Battlefront game
but am terrible at this, its also increadbily laggy and its just not as fun to play

the starfighter mode is pretty decent though, so still playing that

Please let it be ubi!

Ubi are a great company for games now, they have really turned things around, still questionable decisions but at the end of the day:

- their games look amazing (can you imagine if massive did it or/and they used the snowdrop engine)
- stunning open world games with so much detail crammed in that make the game worlds extremely immersive
- starting to get some rpg element in to their games and not making it a snorefest like other more true RPG games i.e. kingdom come on!!!! and the witcher etc.

Somewhere in a a galaxy far-cry away. ;)

I agree on The Division, spent a fair amount of time playing and it was fun, except for the fact that they labelled it a tactical shooter and its third person. For me shooters, tactical or not, should be first person only. That's the main reason i didn't bother with GR:Wildlands.

My biggest issue with Ubisoft is that it's always the same thing over and over.

I feel they are just as stagnant as EA in that sense and AC Origins, although lovely to look at, is still basically the same as Assassin's Creed has always been with a few RPG elements tossed in. One button does all.

Far Cry is the best of what they have and even that feels like the same game every time.

For me what Star Wars needs, and always has done, is another KOTOR 1/2 or Jedi Knight (preferably both) but i don't trust any AAA dev to be able to give me that with any competency.

Now i know you are not keen on KC: Deliverance but you have to admit that the game has genuine game play in it. Anything you want to do has to be earned rather than given to you on a plate.

That for me is what games should be and always used to be. Something that sadly you only get with Indie games in today's world.

Anyway sorry for the OT everyone.

All EA would need to do is release Star Wars Battlefield edition and I'd buy every DLC pack they could throw at me. And I suspect I'm not the only one either. Battlefront is too arcadey for my liking.

That's what i was hoping for when i heard DICE got a hold of the rights to develop Battlefront, just something like BF4 but Star Wars.

There is another update in April that will allow you to spend your credits on 'stuff'.

You can buy crystals for real money to buy cosmetic only items. You can use ingame credits to buy cosmetic crates also but this will probably slower hence real cash option.

I think they mentioned somewhere you can use credits to help speed up progression ie boost cards or xp but I can't find the source about that anymore.

In short, I still think this is the best pick up and play fps out there. The graphics are spot on, the sound effects are straight from the films and the actual shooting and gameplay, albeit arcadey as such, is pretty darn fun.
