Any suggestions on what I should actually 'loot' or take? Classic bethesda game where there are LOADS of items everywhere. Screwdrivers/drills/plates/cups etc etc etc.......is any of it worth taking? I've noticed you can't 'dismantle'weapons, only sell them.

No, don't bother with those.

I honestly wish they'd stop this nonsense of making loads of useless objects lootable, makes it tedious to find stuff you actually want.

So can this be played with a controller or is mouse and keyboard the superior option?!
Quite like the idea of playing with controller on the laptop but if it's better with M&KB I'll go that route

Controller all the way!

You get analogue walking, running, haptic feedback, what's not to like!

Plus the game (like most these days) was clearly designed around a gamepad.

What do you do with these resources? Make ships?

Dude, that is still a txt file

If you don't know how to make a ini file just copy paste the ini file that is already there, rename it, open it, paste over what's in there. Done. 1 minute tops.

Upgrade weapons, space suit, backpack, mods etc. You can also use these resources to make other components that are needed to make mods for your gear in the industrial workbench. I literally spent 6 hours last night faffing around with it all, its tedious but kinda fun too upgrading my gear. I have a 8/8 modded weapon now! Chucked all my points into weapons engineering lol!

OK, played it for a few hours. With my new potato pc(Ryzen 7 5700X and RTX3060TI) a QHD on medium settings, high crowd density, no upscaling and no dynamic resolution getting between 35~60FPS. Game is quite smooth despite this. Also using old drivers so need to see if the new ones help.

Thats hardly a potato!

Forgot to mention. The next skill I have started leveling up is the booster pack. I am in working on that now while also trying to level up lock picking and less of a priority is medicine.

After that will probably go for some more tech stuff :D

Is there a way to reset skill points? I haven't noticed anything that allows you to do it.

Level 6….haven’t used a single skill point because I can’t decide what to skill up
Weaponry is good because you then do more damage with them. I use rifles almost exclusively so put some points in that. I found a legendary rifle that does random elemental damage so that also helps. Loot every corpse for ammo, you’ll need it and it doesn’t have weight either.
