Having watched one of "unconquerables" replays I gotta say i've a few things to learn!
It was actually one he lost which was interesting but none the less he made a very quick start and was comfortably ahead and bearing down on a guy next to him in little time at all.
I didn't actually realise it was a assassination game until one guy (mentel i think) who was top points wise and had the other two pegged lost his commander and all his stuff blew up
I quit the replay once it was just two guys left as I knew it was till commander blew up and could see their commanders far far apart so didn't fancy waiting to see who found whos first
Will definately watch a few more - maybe one where unconquerable wins ...

Are they easy to playback? I assume you just dump the file in the right folder? Is the option to playback a replay in the main menu?

Put the file in:
C:\Documents and Settings\YOURCOMPUTERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Gas Powered Games\SupremeCommander\replays
Then in game on the main menu, go to extras and replays and then providing you have a replay for the correct version it will show it.
If you download them directly from the replay section of GPG then it will auto play them for you!
Think the replay feature is my fav feature of the game... that and the zoom ofc 
Was rather disapointed in the single player though :/ Didn't find it hugely challenging, and the story line wasn't that good.. probably expecting too much though - oh yeah, for those of you who have completed a campaign, go back into it and you get the option to select a 'teaser' at the end of the final mission for each race... looks like theres going to be a 2nd/addon

Defo will be and i bet its not far off. With TA it was just an extra set of units and some single player campaigns, i think Battle Tactics was the first one though i may be wrong. Im sure they are going to integrate DX10 features in to this aswell so its definitely a game for the long haul, should be around for years. If TA is anything to go by then 8 years + isnt unrealistic, there is still a huge TA modding scene going on.
Core contingency came 1st, that was a fantastic addon, more challenging missions, and a plethora of new units.. inc the mighty krogoth...
Battle tactics was just a couple of extra maps and about 100 'training' missions... i spent months going through every mission on hard, finally managed it, though none were quite as hard as 'krogoth encounter' on core contingency... only way i could complete that level was to build dragons teeth a way off from my base, and just deal with the 100 or so rapier gunships they kept sending in... about 20 nukes took out the 40 odd krogoths that had accumulated outside the dragons teeth
