That has got to be an April fools joke. A really sick joke at that as well. Expect to see Supreme Commander 8 if EA have bought gaspowered games

TBH Simoran i got so fed up i just totally uninstalled it, then C&C3 came and ive not put it back on yet cos it takes an age to install. Also looking at dual core cpu's if moneys ok. May give it a bash later on.
 
anyone up for a game later? i'm not a noob, but i am no means pro :D... got bored losing to the top 100 :/

well just incase....

did you install the beta or the demo of the game? well apparently the unistaller was crap and left a lot of stuff in the registry which you need to remove before the full game will install the gpgnet client. you have to serach the registry for gpgnet and delete any entreis. then reinstall and it should work. worked for me anyway

Ye had the demo and beta in, but got rid of all the detritus it left. The game and online was working great, then just wouldnt start up. I'll maybe give it a bash later on. Off to the joys of work and mostly banned websites :(
 
i have to say the best part of the game is when u get the nuclear missle silo and have submarines floating around with nukes, then u get just send them all at the enemy at once!! creates quite a sight and sound! cnt wait to get my new rig so i can get all the lovley details. what interneet connection is recommended for playing online? im at uni annd im limited to about 50kbs
 
how do you stop transports firing at the enemy. I almost got 6 engineers to the back of an enemy base then it started firing and they all got spotted! great

Do they not have a hold fire button like most units?
Should toggle between fire at will and hold fire.

I agree whats the problem with them fixing bugs, they are supporting and enhancing the game. You cant expect a game of this size and complexity to NOT have any issues atall months after launch. Name a game that has ever done that. :confused:
 
tbh I love the patches, their entirely optional for offline play (unlike steam) but are just auto when your online!
much better system (very much like DOW)
