The *Official* Supreme Commander Thread

I'll look out for ya rich, after i re-install the bl**dy thing for the 5th Tme, my GPG net wouldnt start up even after uninstall and a re-install.

since when did they bring patches out with loads of units for TA, i remember six units being added, the necro resurrection k-bot, the FARK and one or two other things, the rest were all third party jobs, supreme commander needs more units like to get that obserd gameplay TA had :p

TA just got silly in the end though - the 'standard' patches came with a couple of hundred different units and you couldn't keep up. It also gets a lot harder to balance with more units - the new one either end up being too good, or pretty worthless so you never use them anyway.

Tbh I think there's a fair selection as it stands. Maybe another land, sea and air unit each for each race to keep it interesting but more than that and it gets silly.
 
I just want a wider range of T3 ground units!
Some more Experimentals would be cool too, see what new ideas they can think of :)

quick question mate is it sayong something like gpg.net could not be found, or something to that effect? if so i may know what your problem is.

i just think more units in general, hovercraft perhaps TA style, basically land/sea vehicles, more ships is a must too, i love naval battles, and more race specific units too, theres not enough variation between races :(
 
If you already had the addon core contingency for TA, then NO units were added in the patches.. none...

A couple more units weer added that you could download manually... the Flea, the farc, the necro, and a mobile anti nuke for each race (hedgehog and something else..) All the units released in any patches were all on core contingency...

I too wouldn't mi nd a few more units for the game, but i don't really think a huge ammount is needed... maybe a t3 mobile shield generator :D or something similar to the F.A.R.K. that TA added... defo want to see some more experimentals though..

If they were to add more units, i think another race should be added instead imo, although i can only see it being some kind of 'alien superpower' race that has been done so many times before :/
 
I wanna see some flying contruction units, I really miss those from TA. It would also solve a lot of the order delay and jamming issues you have when building with lots of contruction units simultaneuously.
 
Just played my first game online :)

Lost, but was good fun :D
Stalker now has a competition for getting my time :p

Still should be starting my uni work that has to be in next month though :/

theres a mod for that mate, its alright :)
