** The Official WWDC 2012 Thread **

Just watching the keynote now...proper choked up when I saw the blind guy being able to explore the forest.

Epic stuff :)

I'll miss street view (I find it handy to double-check junctions, weird lane layouts, or landmarks near destinations), but I suppose you can still double-check it through safari.

Hmmm, flyover certainly looks an improved solution compared to the Nokia solution... but unsure if that's simply the cherrypicked locations Apple chose or a difference in underlying technology.

So the two ivy bridge variants of the new MacBook are: i7-3610qm @ 2.3Ghz and i7-3820qm @ 2.7Ghz, they want another £500 for the latter and and extra 256GB SSD. I think I'll be going for the £1800 model.

According to passmark there is about 1300 points difference between the two CPUs, not enough to warrant another £500 IMO.

They could have chucked in a gt 670m for a bit better gaming performance, I wonder how well Diablo III runs at native res with the gt 650m, that's another thing, as the screen resolution is now a lot higher than 1080p the little 650m won't drive most games at native resolution very well and will need to dropped down to about 1366x768 on some demanding games to run fluently, it's going to make me feel sick dropping resolutions that low lol.

Still, can't wait to order it!

:D Just installed iOS 6 Beta 1 on my iPhone 4. Looks like some nice improvements to the UI.

In settings > it has a new value called "privacy". Here you can set privacy options for apps that use certain areas of the phone.

Im concerned.... the retina macbooks, what hard drives do they use? I mean physically...its not a 2.5" drive obviously, is it soldered to the board? :(

Soldered. Aside from that, because the spec is high otherwise, I wouldn't say that it is is too much of an issue. Not ideal, but liveable. Memory upgrade prices are...not as bad as before, shall we say.
