Managed to get ATI tools working better now

Smargaurt and Overdrive are still Disabled?

"show as DDR" and I got these speeds:

CORE= 634.50
MEM= 1485

Didn't get much out of my X1950 Pro on the overclocking side of things, GPU goes up to about 650MHz ish and then locks up, the memory moves 1 or 2 MHz and then I lose VGA (blank screen?). There are options for 'low-level' overclocking or 'driver-level' but neither seem to work very well. Still gotta try the good old ATI-Tool, didn't use that for 6 months or more but that has worked well for me in the past . . .

the memory moves 1 or 2 MHz and then I lose VGA (blank screen?). I found that as well, upping the PCI-E frequency in the bios from 100 to 105 allowed my memory to be increased dont know why :confused:

Dont think ATI-Tool supports overclocking on the X1950 Pro yet.
 
I'm havin major problems with my Gecube X1950 Pro, it keeps on freezing in games have tried different drivers. Thread here discusses it. I think I may have to RMA it :(

What do you make of this 3DMark06 score? (is that reasonable?)

I got 5119 marks,

stock speeds

X1950pro 512mb PCI-e 580/700
E6400 @ 2.4ghz
2 X 1 GB DDR2 corsair value
Cheapo 80gb slow IDE hard drive....

Not bad methinks.




Really impressed with the card's performance though, oblivion on ultra high. BF2, FEAR and Dark messiah Maxed out!! Runs amazingly! Very chuffed!!

my score is "3923"


Apparently it thinks I have the fasted GFX card, so im top of the list. lol

I have changed my FSB mem speed to 1:1 (200 MHz) and now i am on DUAL channel mode

what version of 3D mark is that? 06?
 
Quick question guys, just noticed that in the ATI overclocking sticky, it is said that ATI Tray Tools shouldn't be installed along with CCC. Is there any reason why? I've currently got both installed and there doesn't seem to be any problems (except that TT asks on start up to disable overclocking options in CCC - which I allow it to do). I don't plan to overclock the card as yet, but I use TT for the temperature monitoring, as well as FPS in games.

Just wondered if having both progs installed was causing a conflict in some way.

Does anyone know if OcUK are planning on getting in the PowerColor ATI Radeon X1950 Pro in AGP flavour any time soon?

I just read a review on Firingsquad and it got their mark of approval.

no idea, Ask Gibbo, he wont see it in here :)

BUT how much is it between the PCIe and AGP versions? if its say £50, i would change motherboard, becuase PCIe is FASTER than AGP worth the extra £50 imo
