Certainly no issues to report with the Power-Colour, which I'm very pleased about.

Just got mine up and running after getting one in the week and it's a huge beast!! :)

First time I've used Catalyst Control Centre but it gave me
621 Core
790 Memory
running at 47 degrees

Ramped it back down to 600 and 750 but I have to say I am mightily impressed with this card....very quiet too even at overclocked speeds :D :D

Have to agree that Accelero X2 is pretty good! I used ATT to ramp its speed up to 100% and the Accelero was still quiet?

you should hear my sapphire @ 100%

when i first powered up after installing the card i thought it was going to take off.... :p

by default it's on 13% and i can't hear it above my cpu cooler. infact i haven't even heard it spin up during any games.....yet. :)

check on the members market. some people may be selling thier stock x1900xt coolers which should fit on the x1950pro fine. and the stock ati x1900xt cooler is not bad at all when its fan speed is at max, but its loud. but on a x1950pro you probably won;t even need to run it higher than 10% fan speed.

Hey guys - thought I'd use this thread instead of creating my own! :)

I got my X1950Pro 512mb (Powercolor - I thought I selected HIS, but obviously not :p) last week, but having some problems overclocking it! I've tried both ATiTool and ATiTrayTools, but when I change the clock speed at all on either, I just get a black screen and need to reset - what am I doing wrong?

Cheers!

I found upping the PCI-e frequency in the bios allowed overclocking.

What PSU you running ? I think my Tagan 480 PSU is struggling and causing problems as it only gives 28a on the 12v.

I'm using a 670W Hiper PSU, so that shouldn't be the problem :) I'll up the PCI-E freq. when I get home tonight - what did you up it to out of interest?

Does the Hiper give a constant 30a on the 12v looking for a new psu now.

I upped the PCI-e from 100 to 105 just seems to allow the overclock on my A8N32- Deluxe for some reason.

Pic of my 12v getting hammered. Sent my Faulty HIS 1950 pro back and got the Sapphire X1950 Pro ULTIMATE SILENT 256MB running 3DMark05 Nice score just over 11k :D

hi dutch777

i have also returned my faulty HIS x1950 pro and thought i would go for the sapphire ultimate.

Can you tell me what the fan noise is like at idle / load?

also what was wrong with your HIS?

thanks

The Sapphire Ultimate is very quiet, the only time I notice it, is on startup when the fan will run at 100% for a few seconds. After that you will not hear it above other system components, unless you have a very, very quiet system. My system comprises of a Corsair HX520W psu, suspended Western Digital WD2500KS Caviar SE 250GB hard drive, x1 Panaflow 80mm on my CPU @5volts, x2 80mm intake Panaflows @ 5volts, and another Panaflow exhuast fan on a zalman fan mate (guessing @ aprox 5-7volts), plus all fans are mounted on rubber grommets. I'm very happy with it, plus the Zalman heatsink does a great job of cooling, mostly idles @ 34oC!

Got mines for free!!!!!

MSI one so they have thier own version of the cooler which is two slot with vent, similar design to the new x1950 cards xt xtx variants!

Clocked on ATi CCC @

621mhz core
1.58ghz mem

pretty decent clock all in!

oc 3d mark scores with a e6300 @ 2.1ghz
