did you RMA your HIS back because of the rattle?!
Yes I did, mega fussy am I, I mean as it is the card is the loudest thing in the systems I was building and I just couldn't hack that rattle and the noise made the computer sound like it was just about to break down (impending failure kinda thing). I also RMA'ed a brand new Enermax Liberty because it would let out the occasional 'buzz'.

When you get into silent computing a whole new world of problems appear, but for the moment my HIS is working great, If you are not happy with the card then RMA it.

In your situation I am not sure what I would do, if I had not had the spare HIS card here I would have been unlikely to replace it with another HIS . . .

I love the HIS though, if I RMA it because this rattle is annoying, will they replace it? I don't want my money back, just a non-rattly HIS!!

my thumb, it's completely gone
Yeah that's the same thing I had, so in that case the white cable theory is junked!

Leave it running for a bit and maybe use something like ATT to increase the fan's rpms to 100% for a while in the hope it may loosen something up?, apart from that you have to live with it or return it.

In the meantime to help take your mind off the rattle, check out this video :D

Funny :D Would be more funny if the girl had a cardiac and died, I would love to see the producer's face then :p

I think this HIS is gonna be RMA'd, but before then, I have an experiment with a blob of blue tack...

I don't think its a 'wd40' job but i could be wrong, its more like the fan is rattling/vibrating against plastic, kinda like its mounted incorrectly and is spinning off-balance. . .

Well a small blob of blu-tack to the centre of the fan may have almost cured it (still the noise but not half as bad) time will tell...

Thats what mine is like, but if beast's is the same and still rattles guess i'm just gonna have to hope and pray it works.

Laugh all you want chaps! but the OFF CENTRE (tm) blu tack trick works

Seriously, the noise has 90% dissappeared

I'll take a 50p royalty from anyone copying my idea. I know where you live!

It just sticks. Although if I'm honest I haven't had it above 50% speed. I'll try a 100% run now and tell you what happens!
