*** The Official X1950 Pro Thread ***

I think I've solved the HIS rattle  Could be wrong of course.

Anyway, Yes as you know I stuck a blob of blu-tack to the fan, but It occured to me last night, as I was applying pressure to the blu-tak so it fixes on to the fan, a loud "snap" was heard. I cringed at this because I thought I had fubar'd the fan or something. The fan appeared to be seated slightly lower down than it was at first.
Fired it up, and all was fine. Better, the sound had gone. I put this down to the blu-tack and posted my findings. Anyway, I thought, what if it was me pushing down quite forcefully on the fan and this "snap" sound had solved the problem? so I removed the blu-tack last night, and it's just as quiet!
I've only used the PC for a couple of hours so my theory could be balls, but I will let you all know after a couple of days! Perhaps the fans were just not quite seated properly from the factory?

Had my sapphire AGP card a couple of days now running 6.11 cats

finally had a chance to clock it, used the overdrive in CCC and got a good boost i think!

1950Pro 512Mb Sapphire 621core/790mem

not a bad clock and the temps seem ok for now :D

have you actually tested that overclock in some 3d apps. because overdrive detected similar clocks in mine but it was artifact city once i fired a game up..... :p

now back at stock and everything is just fine. :)

tried the Steam stress test in CS:S actually havent had time to do anything else yet downloading 3dmark05 at the moment

Just run 3dmark05 and got 8693, had to lower the clocks abit to get it to run but its still stable!

Runs Dawn of War Dark Crusade fine with no artifacts at the max speeds overdrive gave us

Oh my god

644/797 - HIS X1950 pro 256MB

Still no artifacing! Beat that, 256mb boys :p

Hi guys, just a quick question regarding Xfire.
I have a sapphire X1950pro 256mb card and i'm planning on doing Xfire.
If I bought a HIS X1950pro 256mb to do Xfire, would these two then be compatible?

Why not just do two sapphires then? All x1950 pro's should be compatible with one another, But I read a few review sites where they haven't been able to get them to run.

Hmm, guess the GPU fan in my new V1000PLUSII should take care of excess temps.
Might just buy another sapphire, wouldn't want to waste my money on something that wouldn't be compatible

normaly i think any brand would be compatible but only if the specs are the same. sapphire and his have the set differently which i belive would cause the incompatability. The 2 sapphires are the safest way to know for sure that they are going to work together.
