Anyway, Yes as you know I stuck a blob of blu-tack to the fan, but It occured to me last night, as I was applying pressure to the blu-tak so it fixes on to the fan, a loud "snap" was heard. I cringed at this because I thought I had fubar'd the fan or something. The fan appeared to be seated slightly lower down than it was at first.
Fired it up, and all was fine. Better, the sound had gone. I put this down to the blu-tack and posted my findings. Anyway, I thought, what if it was me pushing down quite forcefully on the fan and this "snap" sound had solved the problem? so I removed the blu-tack last night, and it's just as quiet!
I've only used the PC for a couple of hours so my theory could be balls, but I will let you all know after a couple of days! Perhaps the fans were just not quite seated properly from the factory?
