I bought Dishonored definitive at £15 yesterday :(

Schoolboy error, I know it's only £7.50 and everything, but still.

Just bought Gears on The Rainforest place for £30. That way, when I finish I can trade it in after for around £20. Not a bad deal

Questions guys without being bias please. Is an Xbox worth having alongside my PS4 which i use on a daily basis? thinking of picking one up mainly for Forza but not sure its worth the outlay. Secondly is the Xbox One S worth picking up over the original as there is a couple of good deals knocking around.

Thanks :)

If you wanna play the exclusives then of course. Personally, I have the Xbox for Gears and Halo alone. Everything else is on my PS4. I don't like paying for two online subscriptions though.

I play Destiny, Forza and BF1 on the Xbox One. I rarely turn on my PS4 because they take up most of my free time. I bought it mainly for Forza but it's been great to play through the Halo and Gears games again. They nailed the BC stuff as well if you are interested in the 360 games. Bought RDR for a couple of quid.

I bought an original xbox one a few months ago and have a PS4.

I did have the S version but was fed up returning them due to fan noise, so just got the original.

Apart from the nice design/ internal power supply/ 4k player I cant say Ive noticed any difference over the original.

I got it also just for Forza mainly and to use for blurays and Netflix. (Use my PS4 for gaming only)

Problem is when I go to play a game I have trouble deciding which console to play as I'm currently switching between horizon 3 and BF1 on the ps4.

Its nice to have both consoles but it also makes for a lot of debating which to get games for and so on.

Personally I'm quite bored of gaming at the moment.

+1.

If your going to get an xbone at this stage get the newer S model (resale value).

I use the xbone for FH3, Gears, and Halo collections - all the rest on the PS4.

What do you mean rest on ps4? You don't use ps4 lol

We will convert you to xbox one day :-P

Over time I can't be arsed going back and forward between consoles, I just like xbox controller and game collection far more coop games ;-)

Absolutely, the console exclusives and backwards compatibility are well worth it.

Whilst I do agree with you I can't stand the performance of the xbone S dude. Its appalling - stuttering regularly in games, (we're talking a good couple of seconds), hell it even stutters and lags in the main menu lol- majorly varying game resolutions depending on games modes etc- It still can't hold a light to the PS4's power.

Will see how the scorpio goes - IF it can match PS4 Pro level of performance at the least, switching to xbone only may be an option.

For now the PS4 has the better performance in games (I don't care for the media centre functions of the Xbone) and will be the defacto standard for multi-console titles.

MS have done a good job with the xbone (I'm still impressed at what its capable of even though it doesn't have the same power as the PS4)- but they need to optimise it further to get rid of all that crappy stuttering in both games and the menus.

Eh? It blows the PS4 Pro out of the water in terms of specs. That's not surprising though considering how far away the launch is.

Yeah they have the edge slightly in terms of launch time etc. I have a feeling its going to become a vicious circle with all these mid-life releases though and i'll only keep one platform up to date with the latest console

Remember on paper specs dont neccesarily mean better performance. Depends on how they go about implementing the extra power i guess (similar to the ps proro launch)
