I had a lot of luck with online dating personally, started using Tinder back in mid 2015.
Being in London it was very easy to meet people and I did make a few mates but also had a few short flings with girls from Poland, Italy, Iran, Uruguay and Greece.
I found the best way to do it was to chat for a week or so and then go do something fun, be confident and be the one who suggests things, I found the Tinder girls really liked assertiveness and a bit of confidence.
I never went on a restaurant date, I think they are rubbish for first meets. So I always went ice skating or bowling in central ldn, something a bit more 'fun' where you can relax a bit.
I always had much better luck when I said I wasn't really looking for a relationship or even one night stands, more of a pal to hang around with, which to be honest at the time I was just looking for more people to hang about with as a few of my mates had moved away from London.
I then met a hot Spanish NHS Nurse beginning of 2016. We met as friends and instantly clicked as it was clear we had very similair life goals and it also helped that we're both NHS Nurses, a few weeks into the mates thing she just went for it I guess she couldn't resist xD
Fast forward to the present day and we have been together over 5 years, travelled all over the world and have just been granted our Permanent Resident visas for Australia and moving in a few months.
Good luck gents
