got a strange one here my cabne 148 will not do 2.8 only at 1.7 v :( but a strange thing is i put it to 1.7v 255x11 =2800 then started to lower volts got to 1.4 when it prime95 for 30 mins then restarted :( now it will not do 2800 again unless i start it at 1.7v again me thinks not all cabne are good :(

Youv been putting 1.7v through a CABNE
Thats got to be a mistake, everyone thats had good results have done them at low volatge 1.6 should be max on air and thats pushing it, these run very hot compared to other steppings, i fear u may well have damged the cpu.
Drop *** voltage down to stock and check your max o/c with stock.

richdog i've got s CABYE 0536GPMW my bad its just that i remember in your first post you got the CABYE as well not the CABGE

@Ken 45C with that kinda voltage on air!? How cold is your room! either that or i should get the tt bt and dump my xp120, also are you burning in with high volts? I always thought you had to do it with lower voltages

No I made a mistake with he first post lol, thought I had a CABYE but it was a cabbage. I'm now 32m SuperPI stable at 2.6ghz with 1.65v so am going to get this stable then shoot for 2.7ghz. My brain is telling me to wait for a better PSU by my inner little boy is saying gogogogogogo. :D

Really want a CABNE though, i'm going to keep an eye out for one...

Played games fine... just had a near panic situation though.

One of the wires on my 1200 heatsink fan has come lose and the fan stopped. Was playing Dawn of War and everything froze... on reboot it would get to windows then stop and reboot. Looked in the case to see the fan had stopped and the heatsink was boiling to the touch, eek!

I'll tell you what though guys, the 120mm fan on the heatsink keeps the RAM and mosfets lovely and chilly, it really does cool a large area.

I take it u mean SI-120 ;) and you should really use speedfan just to see temps because i have a dual screen setup i can keep an eye one all my temps during game play which is quite handy

rich dont dfi's have an internal alarm that goes off when your CPU fan RPM goes to 0

Most mobos do. But if you have a fan attached to the PSU rather than a mobo header (e.g. a large fan such as a 120mm) then you'd need to diable it in the BIOS.

am gutted, my k8n ultra sli will only do 219fsb, any more and it keeps rebooting on the post screen. i tried lowering htt, up'd voltages etc. so searched google to find many others having the same problem :'(
then decided to go into town earlier and bought a dfi ultra d (read a few guides to mod it to a sli d, is this possible?) and now my ram wont work in it :'(
hope my geil ultra x (arriving 2moz) works in it or i may loose it

my DFI ultra D has 4 spare fan headers when it arrives, will I be okay connecting all my fans to the board?

I have heard a few people worry 12cm fans can blow the header, but if thats the case why bother putting headers on the board.
