well im using geil ultra-x pc4400 tccd (recomended a -3 bios on dfi street) but am now running a divider with 704-2bta

now to carry on past 270fsb

Guys PLEASE can someone run a 1MB SuperPI for me at 2.7ghz. With my rig i'm scoring a terrible 35 secs running single-channel and 2T and I want to see what difference dual-channel and 1T makes.

Please please please someone.

i did a 1MB @ 2.4ghz and got 35.4 using 1gb geil ultra-x pc4400 in dual channel 1T
dunno if that helps? will do another if/when i hit 2.7ghz

I will do once mines upto 2.7 Richdog, but I can tell you that mine is 36 seconds at 2.5. And through testing seems to drop 1s every 100MHz gain, so I recokon it would be about 34s.

Having said that though, although my RAM is at 227 Dual Channel, its only 2.5-5-9-9.

What speed is your ram running at?

If you've got sandra do a memory benchmark. I'm curious how much difference there actually is.

Have you checked there's not something running in the background though? I noticed before when doing the 1M test, that when MSN popped up to say xxx was online, it affected my score by about 2 secs. Well...it was either MSN or BitComet...

193mhz using a divider... I could try a higher divider see if it makes a difference though I doubt it. I'll do that now.

I have just ordered the DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-D board and in the next week will be ordering an Opteron 144 hopefully the CABNE stepping if not the CABYE.

Will i be able to put the opteron straight in the SLI-D and it should post straight away without a bios update??

Also i will be using OCZ 3200 Voltage extreme memory - Do you think this memory will do 250fsb + so i can get the most out the SLI- board and the good overclocking opteron?

Wow... 5 seconds lower than mine...

EDIT - Ahh my memory divider was on 133mhz lol... raised it to 140 and I got 34 secs. So I guess Super PI is sensitive to memory speed. However it must be noted that in real-world apps the memory divider makes very little, if any, difference in performance.

Just got Opteron 148 CABYE 0536GPMW
Is this any good for overclocking?
What kinda of O/C can I expect on air?
I have a thermaltake 120 with a YS-Tech 120mm fan.

Whats your 3DMARK 2001 score mate?

Can you run it with your CPU at 9*300 and your 7800GT at 477/1150 so we can compare?

EDIT - I just got 26'668 with those settings.

Re: 3DMark - I find it HIGHLY variable from a well-tweaked system to a normal system.

i.e. it runs best on 2K with 4.12 catalysts (quite old now, not sure which dets work best).

I know, i just want it as an apporoximate comparison, of course I realise it isn't an exact science. However, it's a benchmarl dependand on system performancxe so if he has his 7800GT and CPU at the same speeds as mine it will give me a rough idea of hwo unoptimised my system is with single-channel and 2T.

How would we use 4.12 catalysts

I'll download 3DMark01 now and give you a score when i can I get about 8200 on 3dmark05 i think that with the gt on 489/1180

WTF... that is 1'000 more than me and barely any more mhz on your GT... something is seriously wrong. Try 3DMARK2001 and let me know, this is really annoying.

Is it because you dont have all the power cables connected to the dfi.

i.e floppy, 20 pin, 4 pin and the molex connector?
