The Opteron Skt 939 Overclocking thread !!!!

300*9 @ 1.55v is stable in Windows, but not enough pass Prime95. Will leave it burn it in over the next couple of days and see if I can get it stable.

Would like to be able to get 300*9 stable at 1.5v, which will let me start to tighten up the timings on my RAM.

At 300*9 I got 31 secs on 1M I think

Richdog i got 30534 just now at the settings you asked for, my ram is at 2.5-3-3-8 also i'm just using standard drivers i donwloaded of the nvidia website nothing fancy

Wow 4k higher... if that's due to single-channel, 2T then that is amazing... I need to get some new RAM before I comment more on that... i'm pretty shocked...

Its been a long time coming, had to wait for something better than my 2Gb Geil value but the Gskill saved the day!

3Ghz was a piece of cake with my GSkill LEs, its a CABYE 0536GPMW:

Thats at 1.64V ish set in the bios, load temps were 44 degrees, should be some headroom in both the chip and the RAM, not had a fiddle with lower voltages yet.

Best £120 ever spent :D FX-57 beater ;)

Cooling is:

LRWW waterblock
AquaXtreme 50z pump
2x120mm Swiftech rad (bargain from OcUK itself)
2x120mm fans at 5Vs (silent :D)
1/2" Tygon tubing

Congrats Minsta!! What ram was that mate? Im not familiar with "Gskillz" also what MOBO? Cheers bud
Man you must be chuffed. Im aiming for same as you and Ill be on water :)

GSkill are the company that make the really strictly binned TCCD modules (and some BH5 and UCCC based stuff now too), the LE's I'm using are rated at 275Mhz 2.5-3-3-7, so I'm bang on stock for them :)

Mobo is the DFI Ultra-D NF4 board.

Yeah its looking rather nice, just tried a bit more but its having none of it, not sure whats the limiting factor, will have a play around some more tomorrow :)

Managing a sub 29 second 1mb super pi :)

28.9 secs with the RAM at 275 2.5-3-3-8, but not doing a special run or anything, still have all the junk running in the background, think I'm using a SP before all the SSE optimisations too.

Well im getting seriously peed off here, my 1MB is 34 secs and this RAM ain't booting in DC.

Trying to get some RAM off a friend to see if it is a RAM or a mobo issue, but im really irked my performance isn't up to scratch.

I have another favour to ask... can someone please quickly run Super PI and 3DMARk2001 with these settings:

*CPU @ 2.7ghz or 9*300
*140 or 150mhz divider (7/10 or 3/4)
*2T command rate
*tightest timings possible.

I know i'm a pain for asking but if a couple of people could do that to the exact specifications and post their scores it would help me a lot in finding the weak link in my system. :(

Thanks in advance,

Richard. :)

if your running 1 stick at 2t would that not be your problem ?? o and very nice minstadave

Thats what I want to find out, how much difference running single-channel and 2T makes. And im running 2 sticks, not one.

Is it because you dont have all the power cables connected to the dfi.

i.e floppy, 20 pin, 4 pin and the molex connector?

Oh dear. This is my first DFI board, and I am only using the mait ATX connector and the 4 pin connector. I have seen the molex connector on the board, but not the floppy one. Do you think that adding these connectors should increase stability and overclockability?

Cheers

Rob
