Re the extra connectors on the DFI make sure they are all plugged in or else you will suffer with instability issues.

@welshtom you are on phase IIRC so you would probably do very well with one of these.

I noticed that people seem to be getting very very low temps even when they are pumpinh huge volts through there machines.

Can you state what cooling you are using if poss as I think I may need to review mine lol.

I currently have a XP90C and a 120mm Panaflo on top of it and I cant keep the temps under 49/50 C full load.

Cant do any Pi screen shots as at work now but will later hopefully.

i was on phase :), sold it now, may be going back though lol.

can prob get a decent clock of 2.9 out of this san diego on water. just wondered whats the average on these opterons.

GSkill are the company that make the really strictly binned TCCD modules (and some BH5 and UCCC based stuff now too), the LE's I'm using are rated at 275Mhz 2.5-3-3-7, so I'm bang on stock for them :)

Mobo is the DFI Ultra-D NF4 board.

Dave, can you do an A64Tweaker screenshot?

Guys, Ive just read a thread on another forum and unless im reading it wrong it looks like a few of the CABYE stepping Opterons are looking to be excellent chips. Ive seen someone who reckons that 3ghz on air should be no problem as their current phase cooled setup reaches 3.2ghz on stock volts :o and 3.5ghz with some more pumped through it!

I'll get you one when I get home, I haven't tweaked anything, everything is set to auto apart from the 2.5-3-3-7, tRef is at 4708 and response time is fast, will be able to milk plenty more out of the Gskill yet :)

Yeah my CABYE is doing 3Ghz fine at 1.65V, I'm on water but it should be easily achievable with good air cooling, I don't even need the volts that high I'm just didn't have long to fiddle last night and wanted my 3Ghz :)

lol PRIME95 goes on until you stop it... it's a torture test for stability, and you should be able to run it error free for at least 12 hours to claim your overclock is stable.

I think it's 1.6 or slightly over, i'm going to try and measure it with a digital multimetre in a bit... though im not quite sure how to use it lol :)

There's a big dial in the middle and i'm not sure what to set it to for measuring. :o

richdog, what did you get to before you had to raise V? i got to 9x280
i think that guy is right about voltages, mine says its 1.525v in bios but in windows it says 1.48v

Aghhh i've seen whereabouts to measrue it but not sure where the black and red goes where. Can someone please do a quick MS paint guide for idiots on checking Vcore on the DFI? :)
