Ok... got mine going at 3GHz (1.4v) now, bit strange though, seems to randomly hang but I know it's not the CPU. I have a feeling my Mobo is beginning to give up on me, does any one have any helpful hints on how to give the chipset more volts (MSI K8N Neo2)?

I have left it priming now all night at 2950MHz until I can figure it out.
 
I get my CAB2E tomorrow, and also a new Epox EP-9NPA+ mobo. What kind of HT (stable) can I expect from this mobo? I did have an Asus A8N-E b grade on order, but I was lead to believe they're not so good for o/cing with.

I can't wait to have my overclocking beast!!! If it reaches 2.4ghz (or higher) at stock volts I'll be dead happy, as that's the same as the 4000+!!!

I'm so excited I could wet myself. Ahem. :D
 
Oh poo. What a fool am I.

I only just realised (!) that the Epox mobo I ordered from OcUK is the Epox EP-9NPA+ NON Ultra Nforce4. Thats what I get for ordering at 7:30am in a hurry. I'll probably hit 220 on the HT and then it'll top out and go all unstable and things. Dang it!!!! :(
 
Too late, the boards' being kicked about the Citylink depot as we speak. What board did you go for Richdog? I saw a thread where people advised you to get the Epox over the Asus or whatever it was.

Maybe I'm worried about nowt. The main difference between the Ultra version and mine is the SATA2 support, it would appear. I hope.
 
Return the board mate... just refuse to accept it. Then when it goes back phone OCUK for a refund and get an Ultra instead. Sensible thing to do, you dont have to accept a board youre not satidfied with just for the sake of it, thats silly. The Ultras are miles better. :)

I bought a DFI LSI-DR. :)
 
wow i just noticed, that it took you to approx 2 months for 1800 posts,

has anyone tried higher than 334 on the dfi boards?

seems like everyones aiming for 334 then stopping.
 
lol how many times does this have to be repeated... I FRACTURED MY ARM AND WAS HOSUEBOUND! Nothing to do all day except post, and this forum is pretty fast-paced. :p :D

Maybe I should add that to my sig or something. :o
