tb2000 said:Right, got my 146 CABYE 0540 to 2800mhz at last. Worked out what I was doing wrong, set what must be the HTT multi to 3x, but it's called (it seems) LDT on my AV8! Anyway, that's as far as I dare go till I sort out my heatsink, seems to idle at about 48oC ish, but the temperature reading does seem somewhat erratic as it started off at 38oC when I first put in it there!
Seems SuperPI stable so far, does it in 36 secs, with a load of programs running in the background. That's on standard volts (well, it's set to auto in the bios anyway, so it' could go up I suppose).
Is that ok for a VIA based motherboard, I see the majority of overclocks on here with the Opty 146's are on Nforce4's?
Cheers
EDIT: Just closed down all the programs running in the background and got superpi down to 34 secs!

Ok, i'll try that. Just thought, my memory is running pretty slack timings, could that make a big difference as well as the divider?danza said:My CAB2E is sitting at 2.340ghz at the mo, and I get a 1m Super Pi of 36 sec, so I'd think that 34 is a bit slow really....Try the 32m test that should show whether it's pulling its weight well or not.
