I'm not at home at the moment, it was 029 something, 0294 or 0296 I think :p

I had to tweak and fiddle a lot to get it running like this - all of my problems are down to my memory, changing other stuff makes sod all difference.

I think this chip is very very picky, ie my ram is @ 152Mhz cas 3 (ran at 226 cas 2.5 with my athlon xp)(other timings are loose) with 2x on the ht and 8x8 for ht width. It is just one of the setting for memory that does it, but I can not rember which one -there are about 15 in the epox bios. I turned them all down for now to find max core speed. But them memory is causing trouble again. so i can not go higher - i'm sure the chip could.

How much is a nice 2Gb kit for the opteron, hmm!
(I also want to try taking the memory out of duel channel - helps with stability apparently).

Just put the voltage down on mine a bit and it passed 41 passes of S&M on high mode :) . That's 2.8ghz @ 1.4v :D . Almost certainly an FX-57 chip remarked.

(for anyone wondering I'm staying at low voltage whilst on the stock cooler, so I will push it to 3ghz soon ;) ).

(Assuming you have the DFI NF4) just the defaults after a CMOS reset then the timings changed.. Voltage is at 2.7v, haven't tried any lower but they might do it for all I know.

Unoptimised as in I have all my stuff (virus etc) running in the background, not exactly a fresh install. :)
 
My Epox 9NPA+ has set the default voltage for my CAB2E 144 Opty at 1.5v, and I can't lower it within the BIOS????? What's going on there then?? CPU-Z reports it also as 1.5v.

Also, anyone know of any software I can use to monitor the motherboard chipset temps?
