The Predator (2018)

.................and, based on that trailer, I'm out!

I had high hopes for Shane Black after his passion for the lore and he being in the first one (so not wanting to poop on it) but that trailer looks like "Generic action/horror movie number 43" and NOT a Predator film!

Why can't studios, despite throwing oodles of money at this, recreate the feel of the "original" 80's films like Alien/Aliens, Predator, Terminator etc? Are directors worse, are actors worse, are effects worse, are scripts worse - just what is it that makes it impossible to hit the right note with all these "new" films compared to the older ones?

They need to stop trying to remake the feeling, every one views films differently, it's impossible they need to make it there own take not worry about upsetting original fan base etc.

I feel that's half the problem, if they just did maybe how they wanted as in the director himself and not Hollywood it would probably help.

Remember when they said it had to be really, really hot for the Predator to arrive, survive and hunt? The producers and studios clearly don't.

Are you expecting them do to a predator 2 where everything looks over the top in terms of heat? Can't say that it looks "hot" or not in the trailer, this is 28 years after the second movie after all.
