Running everything at 600/1600 now, so why exactly are people spending the extra for the preoverclocked cards? seems a waste to spend £100 more for overclocks you can achieve yourself and pass.

I bought my xfx7950 extreme for less than most low end versions £427 to be precise (brand new too)

I would personally say its even wasted on a 20" w/s - a single X1900Xt can cope easily @1680*1050 in my opinion, so these cards are really only required for high AA/AF settings on a 24" or higher

Will now be able to play both GRAW and Condemned since my 6600 struggles with these two. Should also bring m rig bang upto date at last.

Just ran 3dmark 05 again with opty at 2.6ghz and 7950gx2 @ 575/1400 and got 13442 i have to find best speeds for opty to get good reslt me thinks

Only arrived today since for some reason it took me ringing them up (A competitor) to make sure it was dispatched the day after ordering it. Wouldn't even upgrade the shipping to Saturday even though it was their mistake.

Just installing everything at the mo. Will have to update my motherboard bios. Not even sure if the Abit AN8-Ultra will allow for both cards. Thought I had a Asus A8N-E but that must have been in the machine I built for my mate. Duh.

Got 10676 in 3mark05. Haven't updated my motherboard bios yet. Does this sound right.

Just a thought, because these are essentially 2x 7900 GTs stuck togther, do you reckong you could do a V-mod on the card to give it move OC room on the core?
