Today the temps in Greece scaled back from the 45C to 28C. Room temp is now 25C. The 5700XT AE is operating at ~2000Mhz like before, with auto undervolt, the temp is 62C and the fan RPM stuck 1800.
Idk about the non AE, but at 1800rpm the reference cooler is quiet, cannot even hear the air pushing on the back. On Balance Mode the Noctua D15 sound is more prominent.
And anyone having a D15 knows how quiet it is even on higher RPM.
I didn't had any issue with the Auto-undervolt feature. It lowers the card to 1132mv (at least the AE), and everything is fine the last 2 weeks having the card.
Mine is the regular one auto undervolts to 1148, little higher, strange since the AE has higher clocks.
the greeks love a bit of Daiken action
I have images of a greek family sitting there, shivering in 10C whilst Panos runs another bench on his 5700XT.
Back in March 2018, when that snowstorm hit UK, had to leave my job at Stoke and go home in Lincolnshire, which was hit hard.
When arrived home, everything was frozen inside, and when turned up the GTX1080Ti it was recording 5C. To get to 20C had to run Timespy while heavily overclocked for an hour, trying different extreme overclocks.
House temps were bellow 0 at that time, as the water was frozen on all the cisterns.
geek dad - i need to run timespy.
Default setting is 1147, how yours go higher with undervolting?
family - it’s near 0 in the house and we are going to freeze to death within the hour.
geek dad - i need to run timespy.
