The Radeon RX 6900/6950 XT Owners Thread.

Great looking card the reference model. My 6900xt reference is so quiet it’s amazing. Very tempted to upgrade at that price but it doesn’t seem very logical given we are on the cusp of a new generation. That all black theme would look great in my pc tho :D

Bit of a late entry but I moved my 3080ti on for a nice price and managed to pick up a reference AMD Radeon RX6950 XT for £849! Loved the look of the reference design and it's nice and quiet so ticks all the boxes for me. Plus a cool card to mess around with until I see the lay of the land. Pics because it looks amazing :D

I have been thinking about this card for a few days. But sod it, I just ordered one because of the great price.

I still feel my 3080 FE is still not enough for ultrawide gaming.

Apologies for posting pics of it looking so damn good

I'm sure you'll love it, it's also much quieter than the FE cards. I've been having a blast so far with it and found it much better in Cyberpunk for example with a splash of FSR in comparison to my experience with DLSS.

Also the games I need/love to max out at 144hz 4k do just that...both PUBG and APEX.

It was the real life pictures that made me pull the trigger, looks so good (including the box, etc.).

Stop tempting me to buy one.

Just got myself a Gigabyte 6900 XT, performance is incredible, but I found the fans are a bit noisy, I wonder what are other's fan curve is like? (Have not try to use silent BIOS yet)

The reference 6950xt for £849 is indeed very tempting but it’s really not worth it for me with the next series so close to release. Especially as I plan upgrading to 4K

Very very tempting yes, because I’m impatient, and even a month to the next cards feels like forever. But I’ll be good and hold off

Think you are being a bit optimistic with a month. It will end up being like last time the new card announced then 6 weeks later you can actually try and buy one. Gone are the days generally they announce the card and within a week you can buy it. (Or same day!)

Possibly, but I think it’ll be a lot better than last time. Lack of mining, no covid, much less demand due to economy etc. Yes, you’ll still probably struggle to get one launch day, but it should be MUCH better than last time and I wouldn’t write off getting one very quickly

Hopefully they launch next month and I can get one next month, or October at the worst.

I appreciate this is an AMD thread, but I am including NVIDIA in these statements. I generally prefer AMD, but if team green releases first, I will definitely be okay with going with them. A September launch from them is very possible

If they only release the 4090, that will also lower demand.

It’s going to be a rough few weeks or months for any launch. So many people holding out for the next AMD/Nvidia card.

Good luck to the people holding out. That F5 key is going to be abused.
