It seems to be within 100mhz of mine before I got the waterblock on.
Mine was held back by the junction temps slowly decreasing clock speed.
On complete stock with 255w and nothing altered clock speeds started around 2440 and dropped as the tjunction hit around 72c to 2300ish.
I have noticed that some games push the gpu a lot more than others.
Cold war for example only runs at 2320-2550 but this is pushing 220fps.
Shadow of the tomb raider usually boost at a consistent 2549.
All stock with mpt tdp 300w.
Going to get some runs with all stock 255w hope this helps![]()
I managed 2750mhz on air with 1110mv undervolt, memory and power limit full.
I used mpt to reach 350w max with the slider, I could hold 2700-2750 though without overheating (full fan speed for benchmarks only)
I ordered a water block which should arrive at the end of the month, will then see if there's anymore left in it.
Would like to see an increased power bios for the 3 pin cards though, otherwise its literally a useless cable
I never even thought to check junction temperatures, that's interesting to consider. I don't even know what junction temperature is, haha. Definitely sounds like you got a good card though. If you're watercooling it and raising the power limit (and overclocking and undervolting), what sort of clock speed/performance improvement are you seeing? Also, aren't you worried about your warranty with regards to dismantling your card to install the waterblock?
On an unrelated note, I find it truly bizarre that AMD decided the stock power limit would be 255. I feel like the card reaches a power/performance sweet spot at around the 300W mark.
Got a 6900 XT Merc on the way. Not sure if I am going to keep it, but an opportunity presented itself and i took it. Arrives today at some point.![]()
Which 6900XT do you have man, MBA? I went a little nuts earlier and ordered the Asus 6900XT Strix OC LC version. Expensive butAF!!

Nice, considering doing it?Just found this LC mod for the 6900XT Reference.

How much did you pay?.
£1500!!
Don't blame ya. I added an Arctic Accelero AIO to my golden 7970 back in the day. Remember the glue they used for the heatsinks on the memory chips wouldn't come off Lol.No way.
Did a Kraken G10 mod to a GPU a few years back.
Think it was a 7990 GHz.
My heart would be in my mouth doing something like this considering the price of these GPU’s.
Good thing your 6800 XT is worth a small fortune!!£1500!!
