Just seen that all the tickets at the Rangers End for the Ramsdens Cup tie have sold out. The Brechin ones go on sale tonight.......any sign of a license yet from the diddy 3rd division outfit? :p

I don't think it's Rangers they are kicking at all it's an internal SFL SPL squabble over cash.

Basically SPL want and money the SFL make from TV rights otherwise they will not pay out what is contractually due to the SFL. The SFL should tell them where to shove it and none of this should even come into play regarding rangers membership to the SFA!

From the sounds of things the SFL will get more money than what the SPL were offering and that all the clubs would benefit. With the way the SPL have acted towards the SFL clubs with the Rangers vote they need to be told where to go.

Also, if the SPL can't pay the contracted fees then does anyone know what punishments would come in?

We look forward to causing a cup upset :D

I see its in BBC ALBA EPG now as well.

Maybe it's all been a conspiracy to get people to watch BBC Alba?

Law suit as its a contractual payment. Perhaps suspend their league status :D

And as for Alba I can watch it with the sound muted :D

to be fair with all this rubbish holding x y and z to ransom if the cup game doesn't go ahead I'm sure brechin will have a case to claim losses from all parties seeing their incompetence is the cause of this mess yet so far we're forking out cash to hold the match.

SPL have nothing to do with Sevco so demanding SFL TV rights is wrong.

SPL should not drop the investigation into dual contracts. If wrongdoing is proved, Rangers should be stripped of those trophies won during that time. They should not be awarded to runners up. Let the record books show those trophies were tainted.

The SFA should award a license if Sevco meet the criteria for membership. If Sevco dont, then no license. It is that simple.

The SPL are contractually obliged to give the SFL money each season. Surely in the last year of the Sky contract, that money has already been received, so where is it? Only next year and the possible new Sky contract at reduced terms would allow for renegotiation of the fee paid to the SFL.

Seems that the SPL are trying to negotiate an eight-year deal with Sky and are getting desperate to sort something out with the TV rights to Rangers matches, using the £2m as leverage. Unfortunately for them the SFL know they don't need the SPL and bids are expected to be finalised by 12pm today.

Agreed and the SPL should investigate all it's member clubs over dual contracts and not just Rangers :o

They did, only Celtic was found to have used EBTs and that was for a player payoff and they subsequently paid tax on it.

In the EPL though, plenty of clubs doing it apparently.

well I had an email from BBC Alba wanting to use some of my photos today :D Just hope the (lack of) powers that be can make a decision for the match to go ahead.

had a mate text me saying its confirmed in the dundee courier that the match is on. haven't seen it myself so dont know yet.
